Premier Inn Evesham

The room was OK The food and service very poor. Had to return starters as inedible, the food was burnt. Breakfast was a joke. Asked what time I wanted breakfast. Said 06.30 Asked if it was buffet or table service, told buffet, which slotted well withy plans to attend early morning meeting. Arrived promptly at 6.30 for breakfast, to be told it was table service. My order was still not taken at 06.50. Had to leave without breakfast, even though it was paid in advance. Terrible service.

First ,the positives! Staff all welcoming and efficient Room clean and usual premier inn set up . Beefeater next door excellent value for evening meal and the chefs know their onions! And all other food items. The cob salad ensured I didn’t have a cob on. But… and it’s not an inconsequential but…the hotel has a very weird odour on corridors that permeates rooms ! Until I met my older wife and moved through the housing ladder I lived near a processing plant that treated animal skins and walking to my room took me on a trip back to bad memories lane. I like to be a pathfinder and a Christopher columbo while visiting hotels but it seems I am not the first to notice this olfactory issue! I can tell you this now premier inn owners ,my wife would have spun her zimmer round and taken us right out again after encountering that whiff ! I reiterate I cannot fault the staff we met but someone needs to address this or leave gas masks on the towel rail. Sorry 😞

Stayed here for a couple of days on a short break, and it was fine. It's a Premier Inn so you can't expect 5-star luxury but you can expect a clean basically-equipped room, comfortable bed and decent food at the next-door Beefeater. All that was provided. Don't be put off by the outside of the building being rather tatty with peeling paint and signage in dire need of replacement! It's much better inside. The staff were friendly and check-in efficient. We'd requested a ground floor room, and this was provided without fuss. The room itself met our requirements and the bed was fine, so we slept OK. There's the usual TV on the wall and limited space for hanging clothes, plus a bathroom with over-bath shower. The room was clean and tidy. We ate in the Beefeater on one of the evenings and again, it was fine. We'd booked a table and that proved a good decision as the place was very busy. The service was efficient and the food arrived quickly and was well-cooked. No issues there and good value on the 'meal deal' dinner/breakfast offer. Breakfast was the usual Premier Inn offering and as always was good if a little chaotic around the buffet. There's only one coffee machine so that led to some queues. All in all, a nice experience and we'd certainly visit again.

Venue is very tired and in need of updating, paintwork damaged all over. Shower in the roon we had was very poor operation. The attitude of the beefeater was unacceptable in the way we were greeted. We arrived at lunchtime and checked into our room and met with other two members of our family and decided we would eat in the beefeater next door but when we walked in we were greeted by a female manageress asked if we had booked and replyed we had not and was told the place was fully booked with only four people in the whole place but the way she said it was horrible

I found all members off staff to be polite and friendly, the hotel in general does need refreshing as looking tired, had a really good 2 nights sleep, breakfast at beefeater next door was good first morning as waiter service the next day was self service. Overall enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights on a work trip. For the price the hotel room was clean and quiet. Overall it is what it says on the tin and I would stay again. Things that are an issue. There was a tiny bit of mold in the shower ceiling. Also when you walk into the first floor there is a smell, but thankfully this doesn't reach the rooms I was in. I don't know what is the cause. Apart from that the only other issue was the lack of staff. You are asked on check in what time you want breakfast. When I came down to breakfast the following morning, I could only see one person on the counter and she was overloaded with guests. The toaster was also broken. Another member of staff then appeared, but they were still overloaded as more people arrived. When you sit down you have to wait until the staff take your order for the breakfast, you have to say each part of the breakfast you want, i.e 1 bacon, 1 egg etc. This adds time onto a simple order. I think they should move to a buffet like other premier inns. So much easier. The poor staff are trying their best!
