Quality Inn North Vernon

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL unless you want to take the chance of getting scammed out of your money. The owner of this hotel basically stole money from me. All was well for our two day stay and we checked out with no problems. I was checking my credit card balance at my bank and saw an unauthorized $20 charge on my credit card from the hotel. I called the hotel and was told they charged me for a towel that was missing after we left. I told them we didn't take their towel there must be some mistake. He said no mistake, the housekeeper said the towel was missing. It was apparent that this person would not see to reason that I have no use for a $2 towel and would have no reason to take one. I think the housekeeper that supplied the room before we got there didn't put all the towels in the room. Also, it was evident that someone entered our room while we were out so maybe that person took a used towel and didn't replace it. I contacted Choice Hotels and told them the story. They contacted the person while I waited on the phone, and they came back and said he told them a towel was missing but they would try to persuade him to refund my $20. I never heard back from this hotel or Choice Hotels. I'm out $20 because this man stole it from me by placing a fraudulent charge on my credit card. You would be wise in not staying at this hotel because they have some sort of scam going on whereby, they steal your money and claim that it was because something was missing from the room. Shameful.
