Our group rarely complains and we are generally very grateful guests. However, our experience at Johannesbergs Slott was extremely disappointing. We contacted the hotel with this information, and now nine days later, we still have not received a response. Therefore, we are writing this review on Trustpilot. This is a selection of shortcomings. Dirty dishes and a messy bar counter in the reception area. Dirty, giving a sloppy and chaotic impression. In the spa area, we couldn’t get a receipt, which is legally required. Supercold spa! Generally poor service; we ordered several times but never received our orders. The worst part was the filthy hotel room. There were dust bunnies under the beds and a layer of grit on the floor, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned for the last five guests. When we complained, we were told the cleaners had gone home and we could change rooms. We didn’t even receive an apology, and no one followed up to see if we wanted to change rooms. I ended up on my hands and knees trying to clean the worst of the grit with a towel, which I left with a note on the desk. The toilet in the hotelroom almost made me vomit. It was superdirty! One of our party got severely ill during the night after eating the Christmas buffet, and two others had stomach issues. All together a expensive big disappointment.
