NEIGHBOURHOOD This lovely apartment for 4 is located minutes from the beach, the Cours Saleya farmer’s market, Old Town and the tramway. Enjoy the eclectic historic port area with its ships at harbour and antiques shops galore simply by stepping out your front door. Awash with sidewalk French-Italian Cafés, cool restaurants, and the mysterious trinket & baubles world of French flea markets, this area will lull you towards a world of near-magical intrigue. The Historic Port boasts the perfect area for searching out hidden swimming coves, spots for cliff rock diving and hiking on the stunning coastal path of the Sentier du Littoral which takes you all the way to Villefranche sur Mer. BUILDING In a classic Nicoise building, the common areas are clean and secure, with both an outside gate code and a building key for the main building entryway. There is an elevator or stairway, which takes you directly up to the 1st floor, where you’ll find apartment L’Artiste. LIVING AREA Simple, with clean modern lines and a hint of old world charm, the living area is an open plan with the kitchen and dining area to either sides of the main relaxing space. A couch for two sits in front of the flat screen TV, along with a large coffee table. There is a comfy antique reading chair with reading lamp, and a lovely lilac wall to soften the mood. A mix of original artwork and Chagall reproductions, bring originality and colour to the décor. The Entertainment system includes a 3D flat screen TV with eye glasses for 4, cable with English News channels, a DVD Blue Ray player, WiFi, and a phone for free international calls. There is an air conditioning unit with remote control. The sofa can be transformed into a double bed. This apartment can therefore accommodate up to 4 people. Please note there is an additional charge for sofa bed linen & towels in order to accommodate 4 people comfortably. KITCHEN All well equipped--a full-sized fridge with a smaller-sized freezer, a ceramic stovetop hob, oven, and a microwave. There is no dishwasher. The dining area is off on its own with a breakfast buffet area and a dining table, which seats 4. There is a separate laundry and utility room, which includes a washer and a no-tumble dryer. There is both hanging space outside and a clotheshorse to dry laundry. BEDROOM Romantic, airy and delightfully colourful, the bedroom is a retreat for sore eyes and feet! A luxurious headboard in Louis XV style, with the loveliest French grey velvet that decorates the British king-sized bed of 160cm. There is a closet with hanging and drawer space for two, 2 bedside tables, reading lamps, and an antique make-up table with mirror. There are no shutters, but owners have placed double sets of curtains in order to enjoy late mornings in on your holiday. There is an air conditioning unit. BATHROOM & WC In a glossy, deep purple, the brand new shower room is stunning. There is plenty of storage space for personal belongings, a towel warmer, and a lovely walk-in shower with rain head and handheld shower. The toilet is found in a separate WC room for privacy. AMENITIES - Air Conditioning - (it is in all rooms living areas and bedrooms) -- Washing machine -- Wi-Fi note: We cannot be held responsible for breakdowns beyond our control. iPads and 3G key rentals are available in case of emergencies. -- Telephone. Note: We cannot be held responsible for breakdown of lifts. -- 1 toilet -- Microwave -- Beachtowels are available in apt, but must be left cleaned ready for the next guest. Otherwise, a supplement of 15€ per towel will be charged via cc on your departure. -- No Smoking, inside apartment. Smoking outside is permitted if there is a terrace or balcony available. --No Pets Arrival Details -- Please note that the following charges apply for late check-in, payable in cash upon arrival: - 19:00 to 22:00: EUR 20 - 22:00 to 00:00: EUR 40 - Check-in after midnight is subject to approval and costs EUR 60. Guests arriving at the property via the free airport pick-up service do not have to pay late check-in charges at the apartment, but a EUR 10 extra charge still applies for arrivals after 19:00. Please note that an additional EUR 50 charge applies to all arrivals on 24, 25 and 31 December, 1 January, Easter Sunday and 14 July.
