An amazing stay at Disblair House. We had the best welcome from Buddy & Seeka. Four poster bed and roll top bath, bathrobes and chocolates on arrival. Chris & Kaz are the best hosts ever, they go above and beyond to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. And as for the breakfast….wow !!!!! The best we’ve ever had. Olde World charm, can’t wait to come again.

Chris and Karolyn made us very welcome as did their dogs. Chris very kindly helped us out of a serious difficulty with the hiring of a car at Aberdeen airport. For which we are very grateful. We stayed for our first and last nights of our 11 day visit to North East Scotland and were content. We were given the family room in which there is a four poster bed and a single bed. The adjacent ensuite bathroom is large and everything functions. There is a honesty bar in the lounge off the entrance of which we duly availed ourselves . On special request, Karolyn served us an excellent dinner. The breakfast is comprehensive and of very good quality. If you are looking for somewhere out in the country for B&B, this is the place a 15 to 20 minute drive from Aberdeen Airport.

Would highly recommend. Karolyn and Chris are very welcoming and so friendly. Breakfast was incredible with fantastic variety of breakfasts food available. Our room was very cosy and peaceful. Very dog friendly. We didn’t want to leave.

A very warm welcome awaited me after I ascended the steps to the front door of Disblair House. Previous reviews had given me to anticipate something a bit different and they weren't wrong. I felt welcomed home like a long lost family member. Karolyn explained the layout of the establishment, basic guest etiquette and domestic arrangements, and then showed me to my room, which she described as a suite. It was certainly large, and I'm sure a double bed could have been placed in the adjacent bathroom. The room was toasty warm, and remained so throughout my stay - principally due to the electric radiators provided. I loved the provision of a microwave in the room - that enabled me to nuke a meal each evening.

Incredible!!! We missed our flight, had an awful journey up and Karolyn and Chris really looked after us when we arrived. Made us feel soooo welcome! Beautiful and interesting house. Super friendly people. Loved the lounge and fire and the dining room. So much atmosphere. And then, Karolyn did breakfast the following morning. Wow! Check the photos. I only wish I could’ve eaten more. Will try to come back and stay, as it was really special.

Not the usual run of the mill B&B. Lovely old building filled with amazing furniture and quirky items, a brilliant collection and mix of items. Amazing continental breakfast spread plus hot Scottish breakfast using good quality produce which you'll find hard to beat. Perfect hosting from Karolyn and Chris, nothing was too much bother and they went that wee bit extra with some nice personal touches. Well worth a visit! Ps. Even has a well stocked honesty bar!

Stayed with Karolyn and Chris for the best part of 3 months while working in Aberdeen. They were the nicest and most welcoming people I met up there. Always took an interest and easy to chat to. Disblair House is clean yet full of character, with everything needed for an extremely reasonable price. Rural location but just a short drive to local facilities. Two lovely and friendly dogs, chickens and plenty of of wildlife in the well kept grounds. A real home away from home

Firstly, sorry for the delay! We stayed in August. On arrival we were met by Chris and Karolyn and their 2 dogs. We were told there was no electricity, this was not a concern to us and Chris and Karolyn tried everything to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. They lit candles in the bar, but it was not off for long. The room was fabulous and big with everything u needed. We had food to warm up and offered us plates and cutlery. We loved the honesty bar, with a nice selection of drinks and we found some playing cards. Our dog Tilly made herself at home and she loved all the fuss. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant! So much choice, Karolyn kept bringing more out. Disblair is a lovely quiet place and yes it's off beat, but that's the charm! Would we stay again? Absolutely! We loved it...even Tilly x

We felt Disblair house was great value and a generous effort was made by our hosts Chris and Karolyn. The food presented at breakfast was varied and high quality, and in a pleasant setting. You can see the effort the couple have made to make guests feel at home. We felt at ease there.
