This place caters to buses so doesn't really care about your experience. Way overpriced for what you get. Stayed in the new rooms which were nice but no that big. The ocean view is a side view which is almost non existent. They just have to call it ocean view for the price. We read the reviews of their restaurant and decided not to eat there. We did have breakfast one morning and were competing with the buses. Bacon wasn't cooked, english muffin not toasted. We went across the street at Fisherman's Landing and it was good there. Won't be back.

After a long journey across Newfoundland we were looking forward to watching the sun set with a nice cold drink. It turned out that on the night of our stay the in-house Anchor pub was hosting a periodic music night. We were told in no uncertain terms that we could not use the bar to eat or drink without buying a ticket for $55 each. This is not helpful in a small town where there are no other bars or restaurants. Our only option was to eat in the hotel restaurant which sadly, sits right above the pub so we had to put up with the noise from the show. The restaurant, by the way, was not great with very average food being served at inflated prices.

We stayed in the annex second floor room 307, which is updated and clean. The view is lovely and all associates are welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts and a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. If ever we return to Rocky Harbour, we would definitely stay here.

A large hotel dominating the sea front at Rocky Harbour. As such it attracts group and coach tours. We stayed for 2 nights as part of a Nefoundland driving tour and had a ground floor room which, whilst advertised as a sea view had its view blocked by the car park. Noise from upstairs was very noticeable, as was the coach party leaving early. The bed was comfortable in this large room, though it felt a little sparse - a little like a student room. We didn't try meals at the hotel as these didn't seem to attract very good reviews and there are plenty of good places close by. And the bar had entertainment for the 2 nights we were there, so your options are either to join in the merriment, or sit outside on the terrace watching the sun go down into the sea. Perfectly average - neither good nor bad.

A very nice hotel with comfortable and cozy rooms, and surprisingly quiet for the main floor room I was in. Central to most sights and sounds of Rocky Harbour; within mere steps to the rocky beach (perfect for beachcombing and finding unique little treasures)

Lovely little hotel that is centrally located. It had a restaurant and pub on site and within a minutes walk there are some cute gift shops, places to eat and liquor store that also has some groceries (more like snacks). Nice little deck to sit and watch the sun set. Quiet even though busy. Rooms are new, modern and comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pleasantly surprised and if I was in the area would come back.

We spent two nights in the Ocean View Hotel in Rocky Harbour while exploring Gros Morne. It made a good central point for exploring Gros Morne and was quite central to Rocky Harbour as well. We ate in the pub for two meals - once in and once for takeout. Both times the food was generous and tasty. We also did one meal in the restaurant with a good view of the harbour. The room was very spacious and comfortable. While we did not opt for an Ocean View room, it was a short walk to get out to the harbour.
