Read this genuine review from 24th Nov 2024 before booking your room at SUN STAR GRAND. Ignore the forced review with 4-5stars which the staff force their guests. DON’T SPOIL YOUR TRIP BY STAYING HERE, definitely not if you have kids ***** with you. They will talk nicely over phone while taking the booking and advance payment but when you arrive it’s totally unprofessional giving you horrible stay. Especially one receptionist called Gaurav, keeps grumpy face, don’t know to talk professionally, very sick attitude. He will make you uncomfortable in all possible ways. The guy Devender did not even respond to my texts when I tried reaching him. I have a 5 years daughter with me and they gave me room with a scary dungeon view(pic attached) I requested King bed, they joined 2 twin bed giving us shapeless bed. When I called the reception they said we can’t provide extra bed unless you pay ₹800 ( during checkout they had the audacity to say because we gave you bad experience during check-in we won’t charge for bed, seriously? Then why did you gave me the bad experience during checking in? The whole place looks so dirty and unhygienic that I did not eat the complimentary breakfast fearing that we might get food poisoning. When I arrive I was suppose to pay 3000, I ended up paying ₹5850. They will quote one price and when you come to hotel they will add few more grands. When I told them I will check in early at 9-9:30 they agreed, but when receptionist Gaurav gave me the key at 8:40 he took 30% of room tariff that’s ₹850 for 45mins. (we had 2 friends with us for which we were paying ₹1200 extra for just using our room for freshening up but they pushed for another room at ₹2200 which was equally shabby), Very money oriented, unprofessional and least bothered about customer experience. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE, there are better hotels around same locality.
