Sunrise Blue Magic Resort - All Inclusive

Just got back from the resort on the 29th Sept, I have to say I was ready to return home on the second day. The hotel was treasonable but definitely not 4*. The restaurant was poor and the food quality was bad. Food was only ever just warm and the selection was limited, the fruit selection was sparse and not one orange could be seen. Food was pretty much the same every day, chicken, pizza and was never hot. There were too many young unsupervised children running around the food area, picking up the food and then putting it back and no staff supervision. There was a small lounge bar and not suitable for the size of the hotel. Drinks were very limited unless you wanted to pay, fruit drinks out of the vending machines were cheap and consisted of powdered flavourings mixed with soda water. The cocktails were cheap and nasty and very sugary. The bar lounge furniture was old and damaged, tables cracked and laminate wood peeling up. Loud music from the TV in the lounge, when asking staff to turn it down they were very reluctant as it seems they were the only ones enjoying it. Some of the chairs in the lounge were bare wicker with no cushions and broken in parts. The bar on the beach was disappointing and only served beer and very sweat juice. There was a nice large pool and it looked inviting until you tried to get in, it was freezing so hardly anyone went in. Management when asked said the pool had no heating, very disappointed. The sea was warmer that the pool. There was a 2 inch piece of angle iron protruding ½ inch above the paving stones right in the middle of the walk around the pool area and was dangerous. The entertainment was limited and often boring, the hotel described as being the big stage which it wasn’t and was at the adjoining hotel 10 minutes’ walk away. The hotel was surrounded by three other hotels with nothing else around to go to no bars or restaurants. The room were ok, clean and tidy and the staff were reasonable friendly. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and found the standards to be very poor, I was very disappointed.

Well what can I say,it make it sound better, weather was beautiful. My company too😍. We arrived after bus journey from hell to be checked in by rude man on front desk,spoke to us like we were toddlers. Room was large balcony seats terrible, 2 coffees bed was ok, bathroom well have shower you flood floor don't think toilet ever, gets cleaned. Went to town to buy jar of coffee as wasn't been left any. Can get bus to town outside lobby and back that was ok. Food well as most say stone cold never ate food as bad as this, think most was under cooked. The first week was terrible other guest pushing to get to food, second week better but not much on offer sausage rice and burgers. Swimming pool needs a good clean as do sun loungers, pool bar was open for week while we were staying there, served cola light which lobby bar didnt (diabetic) so just ended up buying own. Evening very quiet could walk to other hotel but was told be bitten lots so not worth it. Bar on beach was ok but that also closed end of season, beach was nice sand, lots of loungers. Black sea was an experience need to be a confident swimmer, lots of jellyfish. Found barstaff rather rude but just think they very young, Only one person in hotel who was friendly was cleaner in canteen waved and smiled each day what a lovely man. Never again 😒

After seeing the reviews on here we were a little anxious on arrival but we needn't have been. The hotel is beautiful and the facilities are excellent. The room was more than adequate for our needs. The pools were fantastic which the kids loved, especially with the added attraction of the slides. Yes the water was fresh but I can't ever recall going to a hotel and this not be the situation, who want's a hot pool anyway when temperatures were hitting 30 degrees? My daughter also loved the play area and soft play. The beach was beautiful and it is fantastic that you do not have to pay for your sun loungers. Talking about sun loungers/brollies, I have seen people complaining that they were broken, we had a couple of issues, we simply raised it with staff and they were fixed/replaced there and then. Onto the staff.....very friendly, bar staff and chefs work so hard and get little thanks it doesn't take much for people to smile and say please and thank you. We had a couple of issues with the room (sink and kettle) again staff came to the room immediately and was fixed within less than 30 minutes of the issue being raised. The animation team were very good, my daughter fell in love with Boj, every time she saw him she had to get a cuddle and kept telling us that he was her best friend. Onto the food.....again this was an area of concern as my kids are fussy eaters and the reviews didn't fill us with confidence. Again there was nothing to worry about, our bellies were full everyday. I agree not everything is piping hot but what are peoples expectations? Have they ever been to an all inclusive before? In regards to drinks, I think this is an area that could be improved as I felt they were a little limited. I'm not a massive drinker but I am quite particular in what I like to drink (usually JD and/or amaretto). It is fine if you do like beer and your "usual" spirits e.g. whiskey, vodka, rum etc. Entertainment was limited (as not main season) however there was plenty to keep us occupied with the shows at the big stage, it also helped that the Euros was on. The bus service to the town is excellent value for money if you do want to venture out. It is a lovely town with plenty of shops and restaurants. All in all we had a great time and we have already booked to go back next year as it is perfect for our needs, especially with the kids!
