Ein wunderschönes, renoviertes Farmhaus inmitten wundervoller Natur. Eignet sich als Startpunkt für Wanderungen, aber auch als Übernachtungsmöglichkeit auf einem Roadtrip. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und der Garten ist ein Traum. Sauberkeit ist garantiert - der Besitzer ist Schweizer. Das Frühstück war das beste, das ich in den USA bisher hatte. Jeden Morgen frisch gemachte Quiche, drei verschiedene Säfte, Sekt und noch viel mehr. Ein echter Geheimtipp!

Our daughter and son-in-law had their wedding reception there over the August 16-17, 2024 weekend. It was wonderful! Chef Herbert gave a top-notch reception and the accommodations were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekendThank you, from the Gordon/Caves.

Booked on Airbnb, but something felt off with reservation. Tried calling and texting and no answer to find out if we did indeed have a reservation. Called Airbnb they were unable to get ahold of host as well and they cancelled reservation and refunded my money.

DO NOT BOOK. We arrived to find the house deserted, dark and freezing cold. The owner did not respond to text (phone goes to voicemail and the mailbox is full). There was no way we could stay there. Orchard House is spectacular. Go there instead.

The place is disgusting. Other reviews verify that. Mice, mold, dust, it has it all. On top of it, "chef" Herbert over charged me $1200 for one night, and refuses to make it right and blocked my phone number. Terrible way to do business. Dude is a POS.

We had a delightful two days with our adult daughter, her husband and family friends. "Chef," the chef and the proprietor of the inn was incredibly hospitable. He was also fun as he regaled us with bits of local lore on occasion. The tasty breakfasts were plentiful and were served with champagne that made us feel pampered. Our one dinner at Red Hill defies description. The pumpkin used for delicious pumpkin soup came from the garden outside the kitchen door 30 minutes before we ate it. The filet beef and lamb chops were cooked to perfection, as were the accompaniments. This was our first visit to Red Hill B & B, but definitely not our last! Our best inn experience to date!

World class cuisine is hiding inside this gem of a historic bed and breakfast. My wife and I have travelled across five continents, and the food and hospitality we discovered in Lovingston, VA at Red Hill rivaled the best destinations we've ever been to. The meals far exceeded our expectations and "Chef" the owner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The historic home was comfortable and full of charm, and we enjoyed learning about its rich history. The trail around the property takes about 30 minutes to hike and follows the river around two of the fields beyond the old barn. Our stay was so memorable, we returned only a few weeks later just to enjoy the grounds and another meal. I cannot recommend this location high enough, well worth the visit. We'll be back soon and often!

Pictures are deceiving. What a waste of money. Booked this place hoping for a nice getaway. We were looking forward to staying at this B&B based on the reviews we had read. Paid up-front $250.00 but upon arrival, the owner was not around and we had to call him and wait for him. There were no guests around. As soon as we walked in, the place smelled old and was not kept clean. There was dust on top of the dresser, beds looked untidy, saw a mouse trap underneath a bed, and food splattered all over the stove. We requested our money back but the owner refused. Needless to say, we were NOT going to stay under such conditions and took the loss. We drove down the road and booked another room at Kimpton Hotel for a much more cleaner and pleasant stay.

The property owner demands money up front. When you arrive, the place is filthy and smells of old sweat from the couches. The owners pitch emphasizes the food, but walking the kitchen and rooms, seeing rodent problems and old dirty furniture makes it hard to even sit down, no less eat the food. It was so uncomfortable that we left, and the owner kept the money. Insult to injury, the Kimpton down the street gave us a better price and stay.
