Kalergis Studios

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Room 5 on the ground floor, steps to the beach. The room is two star simple, clean and basic, (didn’t need anything more) with a wonderful trellised patio. The servers at Vammos beach bar would serve you on your patio if you asked! Stepping out for breakfast and cappuccino at Finkas on the beach every morning was such a bonus. Loved our mornings there. Kalergis is on the beach (umbrellas and loungers in front) sort of hidden and a 5-10 minute walk to Old Town and Naxos waterfront. Location couldn’t be better. Parking is pretty close by and the staff very helpful and friendly. Laundry service for cost was a bonus. Compared to the prices we paid in Santorini for much more luxurious accommodation, we liked our stay at Kalergis better! We wish we had stayed an extra day in Naxos and one less in Athens. Rented a car for 2 days from Carman Car Rental.

Kalergis studios are right on Saint George beach and only 300m from the port / town centre. Our room had a private balcony and offered a fantastic beach view. The Studios offers daily cleaning services, is air-conditioned, has a safe deposit box and fully equipped kitchenette. Stylishly furnished and immaculately clean. The young gentleman @ reception (sorry forgot his name) was friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend and return.

The property carries a two star rating that is deserved, but don’t take that as a negative. The place is clean, provides value for money, and is a touchdown pass from the water’s edge. Can’t ask for much more from a economy property, though 30 EUR daily for lounge chairs (discounted to 25 for hotel guests) from adjacent waterfront restaurant is indicative of the inevitable onslaught of overtourism that is headed this way.

Fabulous location. Steps to the beach. We requested a room on the ground floor and our patio had ample room to sit and read or have a drink. There was a place to hang wet clothes and I took advantage of the clothes rack to wash a few blouses in the sink and they dried the next day. Everything was sparkling clean. There was a refrigerator and stove although we didn’t use the stove. The refrigerator was handy for storing drinks. Lots of families stayed here. The beach is perfect. I was able to walk out almost to the buoys before I couldn’t touch the bottom. The water was crystal clear and warm even in the middle of September. It’s easy to walk to the port from here to catch boats or busses for day trips. They also took a bag of my laundry and had it washed and neatly folded by the evening for $14 euros. The bar/restaurant next door was convenient and food was delicious. We ate breakfast there and had drinks in the evening. They also arranged for taxi to take us to a cooking class and to go to the airport. I recommend this place highly. It was cool and comfortable.

The location of these studios overlooking the beach and within 5 minutes walk of Naxos Town is ideal. Our light and spacious studio had a balcony right at the beach but was quiet. The beach bars and tavernas are all so trendy and relaxed. The sea is perfect for swimming and especially suited to younger children as it is sandy and shallow as you enter. Naxos town is bustling and gorgeous. It feels like a real town rather than just a tourist spot. This was our favourite stop on our island-hopping holiday.

Hotel is right on the beach. There are a few steps to climb to get to reception and to the upper level rooms. Large comfortable room and bed. Ok bathroom with small shower recess. Staff very helpful. No breakfast available but plenty of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance
