Taka Matanzas

Very nice and con fortable hotel! The rooms are very cozy and the breakfast is great It is not close to the beach, but has a great view. The bar outside has a limited menu, but it is a nice place to get a drink. The service is very good

This hotel is stylish with a laid back vibe. The rooms have a natural feel with a comfy bed, effective shower and a good sized balcony with sun and shade. Pay a little for one with a sea view as it is well worth it. The grounds are well tended with lots of native plants and there are private sun beds, a giant chess and a mini skate park. There are two TV rooms both of which have Netflix and Amazon Prime. There are two swimming pools with ample loungers, low key music and shade and there is a spa with massages but I didn’t use it. It’s a great place to unwind for a few days on the coast. However there are a few things to know or you won’t enjoy it. 1. It’s about 2k from Matanzas up a steep hill and there are no taxis or Uber so if you go into town you need to drive and pay for parking. I wouldn’t advise walking back along the main coast road in the dark 2. Complicated food is not their thing. Breakfast which doesn’t start until 9 is simple and samey and apart from that they mostly serve pizza in the bar. If you want a coffee, you get one for free from reception. 3. There is no air conditioning. This didn’t bother us as we set up a nice through draft but it might some people. However there is a heater in the room. 4. The staff are young and friendly but if you don’t speak Spanish not many speak good English although they try and communication wasn’t a big issue. 5. No TV in the room and the Wi-Fi is a weak outside the main hotel buildings That said it’s probably the nicest hotel in Matanzas and armed with this info you should have a great stay

"Fue una experiencia increíble. Llegamos buscando un descanso después de mucho tiempo y encontramos más de lo que esperábamos. La Paz y el silencio que rodean el hotel Taka es todo lo que está bien . La conexión con la naturaleza y la posibilidad de mirar las estrellas en la noche es algo que no se ve en todas partes, cuando uno entra al Taka no necesitas salir, tienen de todo! cada vez que íbamos a la habitación, sentimos todo muy cálido y acogedor . Todo estaba perfectamente dispuesto para relajarnos y disfrutar. La comida deliciosa y el servicio atento fueron los toques finales para hacer nuestra estadía inolvidable. Taka Matanza es más que un hotel, es un espacio para reflexionar, pensar y reconnectarse con uno mismo. ¡Altamente recomendado!"

Excelente experiencia ! Destacar la amabilidad de las personas que trabajan en Taka , muy cariñosos y preocupados de todos los detalles para hacerte vivir una linda escapada . Desayuno muy rico , habilitaciones cómodas . Entorno soñado ,lindos jardines , hermosas vistas .

100% recomendable, todo muy lindo, limpio, con vistas increíbles y lo mejor es la atención del personal; muy amables y atentos todos, en especial Jorge Alarcón! Muchas gracias chicos por hacer una estadía maravillosa con cada detalle! :)

Invité a mis papás por el fin de semana y fue realmente perfecto. El desayuno es exquisito con variedad de cosas saladas y dulces. Recomiendo 100% usar el hot tub durante la tarde, es muy relajante y te atienden para que tomes algo rico sin salir del agua. También nos hicimos masajes y nos encantó, especialmente con piedras calientes. Una noche cenamos en el restaurant y había música jazz en vivo, muy bueno! Y lo que más destaco es la atención del personal, Vane estuvo atenta a todos los detalles y el staff completo fueron extraordinarios. Gracias a Denisse, Mauricio, Jorge, Marcelo, Sebastián y a todos por hacer de esta escapada un momento de desconexión y mucho placer. Sin dudas volveremos!
