Sandals Royal Bahamian

Overall this resort is lovely and the private island has beautiful views. I consider the private island a main reason I would return. As stated by others, this is not as nice as most Sandals resorts. However, 95% of the food was good. Butch's was suppose to be the best, but it was the worst meal I had while there. The rest of the dinner options were very good. Again, MOST of the staff is pleasant. A few were not friendly at all. Housekeeping could use some improvement, but overall the room was comfortable. The beds are hard, but the pillows were nice and I slept very well, other than when the nightly entertainment was too loud. In my opinion, they could improve on the night entertainment. The food trucks were very good and a nice way to grab a snack while by the pool. Some of the staff I really enjoyed and they made the stay very pleasant: Esau at Kimonos was great! Tabitha (was at several dining places) was SO friendly and welcoming. Lyrad at water sports was awesome! Leslie Ann took photos and she was so kind and spunky! Anne at Mr B's bar was the friendliest bar tender! The a/c was out in various spots a couple of days, but it was fixed pretty quickly. I would consider staying here again. However, I do think the price point is high compared to what you get at other Sandals locations for the same price, so I would recommend checking your options.

This is my 7th Sandals in 5 years, Royal Barbados, Antigua, St. Lucia, Jamaica South Coast and Ochi, and Curaçao Good — 1-Butler level check in quick and efficient 2-Beautiful well maintained grounds small resort easy to manage 3-everyone was nice and very attentive at bars and restaurants 4-Food- fish tacos at coco queen, sushi at soy, service and presentation at Kimonos, food for lunch at the private island. The breakfast buffet was decent I think average for Sandals. Bad— 1- Kanoo restaurant for lunch was disorganized (nicest way to put it) they forgot drinks, brought out our order to the wrong table then got mad when I told her it was our order, long wait for food. 2–transfer to the private island - didn’t run till 11am and had to wait in line for an hour and a half long and hot. Maybe come up with a better way like an every 30 min sign up to avoid the long wait. 3–food in general wasn’t very good, one day I didn’t eat for 24hrs just because nothing really did it for me. The steak at Gordon’s I ordered medium rare and it was well done and unseasoned. The deserts were boring at Gordons, La Plume and Kimonos not very good. People to mention that went above and beyond — Paul great service at Public House Tyla and Kesha- butlers were wonderful Tikesha- hostess at Soy so sweet and kind Syd- Mr B’s bartender was great Tasha -private island lunch best food and service Selena and Symphony- Soy service great (we went 3x) Esau- Kimonos great fun cook / show Keyno- private transfer to the airport nice and professional

Where do I start…..we arrived August 25, 2024 around 10:30 granted we knew are room wouldn’t be ready however didn’t expect them to take all our luggage (carry on that had bath suits so we could at least relax after being up since 3am) and put in our room that wasn’t ready. We finally got in our room around 2:00. Fast forward to 2 am when we get a call that we needed to change rooms I wasn’t going to change rooms thinking it wasn’t that bad then I got up and everything in our room was floating our room was standing in 2-3 inches of water. It ruined my Louis Vuitton travel bag it was soaked the bottom had already bubbled up and my 2 new Tori Burch shoes looked as if I had had them for years they were cracked. I wasn’t trying to get my money for them as much as I was for my travel bag and some compensation for my trip as we had changed rooms 3 times within 24 hours. We were already exhausted from arriving so early and having to sit around and wait and not able to get to our luggage upon arriving then change rooms 3 times on top of this was not the ideal vacation and you would expect some type of compensation after spending 8,500 on a trip. I spoke with Selina the public relations manager ( I believe that is her title) and she came back with an offer she wanted me to get her a copy of my receipt for my bag then find the replacement cost which I did all this cost was 3,950 plus tax replacement cost was 4,050 plus tax their offer was 3,950 and 40,000 point which is equal to 1,000 at Sandals and they wanted to keep my bag… wow they they wasn’t even adding tax to it nor giving me the replacement amount with tax so how would I replace it? So why would leave you m6 bag that was my carry on bag and that was all I had and there isn’t a Louis Vuitton store in the Bahamas to purchase a new one and what is a 1,000 for my headache I deserved more than that after spending as much as I did on my vacation,Selina came back and said she spoke with her management and said that I could keep my bag since I didn’t have another carry on I would sign the release I told her let me think about it this was the day before our last day she said she wouldn’t be there late and I told her I would let her know before we left which was the next day. The next day August 29, 2024 went to look for she was off imagine that, we figured something was better than nothing and was going to sign for the 3950 and the 40,000 points and keep my bag well all of a sudden the general manager said I had to leave my bag and I said that was the arrangement Selina and I made I was just there to sign the paper and he said no that was not happening were was he when all this was going on to begin with?!? The room was still being worked on when we left fan still on it hall smelled, I would never recommend this Sandals to anyone even when we were on the bus to leave and talking about it a lot of other guest talked about the service and food and I didn’t even touch on that stuff that is an issue in

My husband and I stayed at this resort from August 20-24. We had a butler level room and had the most amazing butlers: Arshad and Dewayne! I highly suggest a butler level room as you get priority for pool chair reserves, dinner reservations, and basically whatever you need! Let me tell you I LOVED our butlers. They were so caring and kind and even had birthday surprises waiting in the room! They truly work as hard as possible to make your experience amazing. If you request them, tell them Sam and Sean miss ya! We also did 1 excursion while we were there and it was SO worth it. The excursion consisted of: swimming with the pigs, swimming with sea turtles and going to a pink sand beach. As far as food goes, it was pretty good! We ate at: Kimonos, Butch’s chop house (our favorite), Queen’s Pearl, Tesoro, La Plume (breakfast), and Kanoo for lunch. The only place we didn’t like the food was Kanoo. The resort itself was so nice and has a quiet pool and “fun” pool where music and games are played. The bartenders also made amazing drinks. They have 2 food trucks one of which has coffee which was amazing. All in all I would stay at this resort again for sure!

Arrived at the airport and met with a Rolls Royce driven by the wonderful Ricardo escorting us to the resort. He was amazing giving us lots of history and culture of the Bahamian islands and where to go, first class service! The Soy Sushi restaurant is a MUST GO place to dine. Tara is an amazing host, always greeting us with a smile and made us feel very warm and welcomed. The chefs behind makes one of the BEST sushi I’ve ever had! Delicious sushi made fresh to order by chefs Alex & Ricardo. They made my stomach very happy ☺️ One restaurant to avoid on the resort is definitely Butch’s. You can make a reservation but you still won’t get in at the time you want and they can’t advise you on the wait on top of that. Not ideal when you want to dine and carry on with your honeymoon activities around the resort, instead of waiting around. We booked twice and managed to get in once later than the booking time. The food is not worth the service and they still even forgot the order so had to wait longer for the food to arrive. Not the service you want when it’s your honeymoon and you paid extra for butler service etc. just so you can have the perfect stay. I would recommend looking into the management of this restaurant. We will always remember our butlers, they really made our honeymoon unforgettable and really put that cherry on top to our stay. Haci, Zhaly and Alin are real assets to Sandals. They would be one of the reasons I want to come back and visit again over and over! We love you ❤️

Review of Sandals Royal Bahamian Just got back from Sandals RoyalBahamian in Nassau with my husband. I have high standards in general & have some food allergies which makes it a little more difficult to find the perfect place to eat. Our butler Jackie was exceptional at making our stay a good one. Chef Naphteria at Butches Steakhouse was the best at making my meals the way I needed them. We had a few minor room incidences that Tayana the Butler manager, quickly resolved by taking action and made everything right..she was so professional and helpful..I could see her getting promoted to the next level soon bc she’s so good at what she does …the property was pretty but the private island was the place to be if you want tranquility ..and the restaurant staff there was amazing as well. Our suite was pretty and housekeeping kept it up well.. my only complaint, if I had to pick something, was that the drinks were very weak and overloaded with simple syrup. Our ride back to the airport by Ricardo was luxurious …I will include pics… if you’re looking to book this resort I would say, do it …it’s worth the money!
