Ananda in the Himalayas

Following the death of my husband, my life spiraled into chaos, turned upside down. My mental, physical and spiritual state was catastrophic. I was looking for a clinic that could save me and it was ChatGPT who recommended Ananda les Himalayas! I stayed there for 3 weeks. Upon my arrival, the warm welcome, the beauty of this former Maharaja palace, the meticulously tended gardens, reminiscent of a Monet painting, everything is designed to bring peace and well-being to the soul and concentration towards healing. If you read the credentials of each doctor, each therapist, masseuse, kitchen staff, dining room staff, service staff or even gardener, you appreciate their kindness, dedication and professionalism! Every element and treatment makes you feel uniquely cared for, with all attention devoted to rebuilding both body and mind. Ananda is special in its approach to finding the right treatment for each case and giving back life to those who feel lost as I did when I arrived or more simply giving back youth or strength which gradually diminishes in a world of stress, pollution and violence. It has been 1 month since I returned home, and the observation is that - I feel strong, full of life and joyful! that the pain of separation from my husband has transformed into a spiritual love full of light and Love. My tears of longing have turned into smiles for life, I can now accept in calm and peace the eternal rest of my husband. Thank you all. Thank you for saving me ! Not only do I recommend Ananda to all those who read me but I will return every year to refocus my ethereal self to my physical body and also to see the Tree of Life I was honored to plant in the magnificent gardens of this Himalayan sanctuary. I came to this hotel, it is very nice and located in a good location, the rooms are very beautiful and clean, the staff is very cultured, the food is also very good Its beauty is its identity, its cleanliness is very beautiful, all the staff here are very good

Everything about Ananda is excellent We went for a four nights impromptu trip with my wife and the experience was fantastic. Food ingredients at the restaurant are organic and local. Tastes great. Puran at the restaurant gave us excellent recommendations.

21 nights stay review Disappointing experience Review: •Compromised service quality: Frequent issues with in-room dining, and laundry services. •Spa hygiene concerns: Therapists with unkempt nails, sneezing without masks, and lack of professionalism. •Privacy breaches: Treatment room doors were opened twice by third person during sessions, causing embarrassment. •Poor medical consultation: Ayurvedic consultants dismissed concerns without proper diagnosis or understanding medical history. •Lack of support: Injured my thumb on-site, received delayed assistance, no immediate first aid, no follow up and further assistance. •Breach of privacy: Restaurant manager shared inaccurate information about me with my consultant. Delayed my order for in room dining for 2 hours. •Unresponsive management: Senior management unavailable and unhelpful in addressing concerns. After many attempts to reach out to them, no one was unavailable to address or empathise with the issues. Positives: The breathtaking view from my balcony was the only highlight of an otherwise disappointing stay.

We booked a 10 night stay here with packages specially created and selected for each of us . It was our second visit here after many years , and we were as happy as we’re on our first visit . This is a place you go to take a break from your daily life stresses and immerse yourself in taking care of yourself , body , mind & soul . From the moment you arrive , there is serene peace which is felt from all the staff in the property. Then when your program begins , from meditation, yoga , personalised massages and treatments to , healthy meals prepared by some of the best chefs to Vedanta evening talks . .. you know you are here to reflect and make your own journey of your stay here memorable . A huge thank you to everyone at this magical place of healing .

Simply iNCREDIBLE.. we have just celebrated our 25th anniversary here, and it could not have been more special. The place is magical. The lush greenery surrounded by the hills, beautiful views of the Ganges, the weather is cold but sunny (perfect winter settings)… The suite was very spacious, yet cozy.. the garden with it was large, overlooking the valley, with the Ganges and the city at a fair distance. The Staff were extremely friendly and warm.. clearly a HIGHLIGHT ..Aman standards.. Purohit and team serving at the restaurant were wonderful, with them hosting a special meal for us at the pool (accompanied by live flute). Chef Naveen customised our menu daily for our tastes, even though we were following the diet (Pita and Vatta). Divya and team at front office worked tirelessly to ensure they were on top of all our needs. The SPA therapists were exceptional, and very experienced in Ayurvedic treatments. The food was OUT OF THE WORLD.. very healthy yet tasty food… the chef was extremely nice to share the menus with us. We had a very spiritual experience first with a special prayer / havan organised for us, and then the Ganga Aarti. Overall, I will rate ANANDA as one of the best in the world, in terms of a wellness destination … from location, service levels, food, spirituality and spa experiences. Kudos to the management and the team at ANANDA… I shall be visiting again very soon.
