The food was amazing,beautiful ambience with remenences of royal Mysore at shikari .. must visit for upscale dining experience.. Shivanna was awesome... Must visit place with friends and family.. .................................

We LOVED this grand hotel, situated about 15 minutes’ walk from Mysuru Palace. There are signs of its former life as a residence for the Maharajah’s guests everywhere and it was just the most comfortable place in which to base ourselves. We loved being able to walk into the city centre and also to other nearby restaurant and eateries (check our Dosa Point nearby). The décor is stunning, both in the communal areas and the rooms. Our room had a lovely large balcony overlooking the central atrium which was a great spot to sit in a morning and watch the place wake up. We could probably have done without the saxophonist playing there before 8am on morning, however…! Staff were so friendly, always looking out for us and helping with all of our queries, and the restaurant, Tiger Trail, was stunning. We ate there twice in our four-night stay which is rare for us as we like to eat in new places but that’s a testament to how good it was. The room itself was clean and comfortable but the icing on the cake was the stunning swimming pool in the grounds. We enjoyed a couple of relaxing afternoons or early morning swims there – and despite the hotel being on a main road, the grounds are so full of plants and trees that you would never know how close you were to city life. Could have stayed here much longer – it was the ideal choice in Mysuru for us.

This quality of this hotel is not at all commensurate with the quality of the many hotels of a similar price in which we have stayed in India and it is difficult to see how it justifies the price. It offers a mixture traditional rooms and modern rooms. The traditional rooms are of a poor standard and require updating, particularly the bathrooms. The newer ‘deluxe’ rooms are of basic quality, quite small. Ours had a damp odour and there was evidence of plumbing and structural problems next to the outside of our door (see photos). The service in the restaurant is appalling. With the exception of one waitress (Bindiya) our requests and those of the other guests had to be followed up several times. Despite this when the bill is presented for signature the waiters stood expectantly waiting for a tip. The outside area lacks charm (see photo) however it is preferable to the dark canteen like dining room where tables are laid from breakfast. Many guests take food outside, occupying tables that were not laid up, finding their own cutlery to carry ***** with their food. In contrast, the female receptionist was extremely helpful and charming. The only redeeming factor of this hotel.

Tiger Trail restaurant- the best in Mysore. We bave visited this restaurant situated in hotel Metropole for lunch. Amazing menu options from chats, salads, soups, mutton biryani and many more options. Strongly recommended to any one who is looking for a feast . M. P. Joy

Decent heritage hotel and good location. The service can get a lot better given that the place is not super busy or large like a resort. The quality of drinks can get better and housekeeping on the whole more efficient. Had issues with plumbing/ hot water. But overall an ok stay.

Our two days stay here was amazing. Staff was excellent with their polite behaviour and prompt service. The only thing that bothered us was very expensive,that is , even the dal and chapatis. But keeping aside this overall experience was very good.

The place is adorable and really tasty food... Staff is really helpful... Great ambiance with great weather.... We went to zoo and palace and many more other places which were really good.... Must visit place it is... Gardens and natural area is best

All superb I m very glad n special to review about ROYAL ORCHID METROPOLE HOTEL MYSORE….i love it n food was fantastic….we r JAIN specially they give us all jain food with live making IN THEIR KITCHEN….visit again in coming months for business meeting n sure will stay only n RORCHICH ❤️
