Sharm Hotel Mykonos

We stayed at Sharm Mykonos for 3 nights and our experience overall has been disappointing. Right when we arrived they found out they made a mistake with our reservations (we had 2 rooms confirmed ) but they had overbooked the hotel which resulted in them putting 3 of us in one room instead of two rooms. The room was bigger and nicely equipped with a small outside area but had no view. I’ve also seen the standard room which is just a room with a bed. The hotel itself is very small but decorated well in cute boho design. The food is quite basic and a little under average in terms of choices and variety compared other hotels we experienced in Mykonos that were in same price range. What was really annoying was that in the morning it was hard to find a breakfast table by the pool - not because it was crowded by people - but because the staff simply wouldn’t clean up the tables - they literally would pass by without even noticing or getting the idea to clean the tables next to us. This lack of service became visible while ordering every single time - very slow sometimes we waited 45 minutes for the breakfast to arrive with half of what we ordered missing because they forgot half of the order again. The lady at the reception seemed not very trained for hospitality - every time we entered the reception she left people waiting or she was simply not there. Her tone of voice did not give the impression to us at all that the guests comfort or concerns are really a priority here or that she enjoys her position. Based on the room mistake we were kindly informed we can come back next summer for a 3 day stay to make up for it which we found very nice of the team. When I reached out now to schedule the compensation they ignored the request and I was informed the person who confirmed the compensation has left the hotel and therefore we can’t redeem it which is very unprofessional. Overall if you are simply looking for little basic rooms with nice decor and and a small pool to hang out you will probably like the hotel. If overall good service, delicious food and more advanced level of hospitality is important for you I would consider alternative hotels to stay at. I am going to Mykonos since over 10 years frequently and for the prices they charge you can find much better in Mykonos.

Exceptional, can’t recommend enough. Upon returning home from this fantastic hotel, we simply cannot wait to return. From the impeccable service we received upon being collected from the airport right throughout the full duration of our stay, we were made to feel so welcome and the service was so personal. The hotel is extremely clean, with the rooms being serviced daily and it has a really lovely contemporary vibe to it. The breakfast had a great selection of food every day and we thoroughly enjoyed trying new things. We cannot thank all of the staff enough for making our experience extra special, being extremely eager to help and going above and beyond. A special thank you to mei for their hospitality, special attention to detail throughout our stay and all mei’s help and recommendations for experiences to try whilst visiting the island. We can’t recommend this hotel enough for anybody that is visiting Mykonos and we look forward to returning to Sharm hotel
