Beautiful pool and restaurant area, kind staff BUT: - first level rooms are small, without any great features - breakfast variety was very poor and buffet difficult to navigate (still didn’t find cold milk after 5 days, only one choice of hot dish - a local pie with strong cheese in, only one / two choices of cakes) - some smell in the room from the toilet pipe and one recurring issue with safe loosing its power - not too far from the city but having a transportation mean is must as transfers are very very expensive in Mykonos

Völlig überteuert. Das Hotel sieht toll aus, sauber, gemütlich und die Angestellten waren alle nett. Das Personal schien jedoch keine Ausbildung im Servicemanagement zu haben und der Service war langsam, verspätet und alles in allem schrecklich. Scheint ganz oben zu beginnen, da wir dem Management Kommentare gegeben haben, aber nichts anderes als mehr „Aufmerksamkeit“ verbessert haben. Einige Beispiele; Wir mussten 45 Minuten auf Getränke warten, Essen in der gleichen Reihenfolge kam zu völlig unterschiedlichen Zeiten (1. eines von zwei Getränken, 2. eines von zwei Gerichten, 3. das zweite Getränk kam, wenn das erste Gericht bereits fertig war einer von uns, dann endlich 4. Das zweite Getränk würde kommen - das war kein Einzelfall). Der Zimmerservice brauchte nach mehreren Anrufen 1,5 Stunden (!), um zu fragen, was los sei, und sich daran zu erinnern; Es gibt dort nur 30-40 Personen bei voller Kapazität. Das Hotel ist ziemlich abgelegen und Taxis sind laut Mykonos schwer zu bekommen. Der Fahrer des Hotels ist jedoch SUPER freundlich und wird massiv gegrölt! Auf Bildern sieht das Hotel schon besser aus (besonders vom Pool aus, da direkt vor dem „Infinity Pool“ eine Straße ist). Das Frühstück war gut, aber nicht großartig. Spa und Massage waren sehr gut, aber natürlich teuer (wie auf Mykonos zu erwarten). Es gibt mehrere andere Optionen in Mykonos - besonders in der Preisklasse, in der sie den Mut haben, zu operieren, und werden definitiv nicht auf diese zurückkommen. Umso enttäuschter, als wir das Schwesterhotel auf Santorini besucht haben - was übrigens unglaublich ist.

Rocabella didn’t disappoint! This is such a fabulous, luxurious hotel in Mykonos. We visited as a family of 3 and were made to feel welcome by everyone in the team. They really are a special bunch of people- other hotels around the world could really learn from their impeccable customer service! The bar staff, pool attendants, cleaning team, spa therapists and receptionists were all friendly and made my daughter feel very special indeed (thank you George especially). I was initially worried about bringing a child to a high end hotel but I didn’t need to at all! Thank you to you all, we visited for an anniversary and you made it so special. Some tips- -Mosquitos made for a few uncomfortable nights. The hotel offers plug ins but I’d recommend bringing everything you can with you to deter them. While you don’t really see them, you feel them! -The pool is a very chilled environment, one of the best we have ever visited. -The balconies look private in the photos but they do tend to overlook each other. You still have some privacy but not as much as the images show. Adds to the Greek charm however! -The hotel is 10 minutes from a SUPER beach, in our opinion the sandy clear waters were amazing. We didn’t really need to visit other beaches (we did) but didn’t really need to. -There is a small supermarket at the bottom of the hill. The walk back uphill is about 20 minutes and it’s quite steep but we enjoyed stretching our legs. -Chora is 12 mins in taxi and well worth a visit. Taxis and private transfers from the hotel are fixed prices (but not cheap so be prepared) -Taxis, food and drink are EXPENSIVE! We spent about £150 a day on basic lunches and dinner (with one drink each!) for 3 people. We struggled to get lunch for under 50 euros anywhere. Ice cream and a coffee- 20 euros minimum. -The airport is super clean but not a lot of food or shopping options- eat before you leave! Hope that helps- we loved our time at Rocabella! X

We loved this hotel. The welcome was very warm and overall, the service was very good. The views from the hotel are wonderful, across to the old port and the new one too. Watching the boats go in and out and the white capped waves was lovely. Our room was great – a deluxe with plunge pool (room 101) – it was spacious, with a nice terrace and pool to enjoy the sunshine until late afternoon. Nicely furnished with a big comfortable coco mat bed/pillows and good shutters, ensured we slept well. The main outdoor pool is stunning, a huge infinity pool that seems to connect to the ocean below. There were lots of comfy sunbeds, although the ones around the pool weren’t adjustable. The Reeza restaurant area is nice, and we enjoyed lunch and a wonderful dinner too, possibly one of the best of our holiday. The food quality was excellent and George’s wine advice was on point and made the whole evening very special. Breakfast was ‘OK’ – food choices were pretty standard; orange juice wasn’t freshly squeezed, and the coffee wasn’t great. Why don’t hotels of this quality take more care of the coffee they serve? The gym/yoga shala was nice and the views across the ocean truly stunning. The lack of a/c and no ability to turn off the music playing outside was a shame. It was also quite dusty on the floor and on the machines. Talking of music, the style was rather inconsistent and some of it was rather strange and rather loud at times when you were eating or wanting an afternoon snooze by the pool. The hotel location is good. It’s a 10-minute taxi ride into the main town, although taxi availability and prices are very high. There is a nice little beach nearby and a small supermarket about 5-10 mins walk away too. Overall, it’s nicely designed, with unique touches like the cactus everywhere makes it feel unique.

Booked through Mr & Mrs Smith and really very disappointed. The hotel's obvious aim is to be cool ...run by mostly delightful but incredibly inexperienced staff. Our room was a nightmare as the whole of the stone floor is painted white and there is a step straight off the bed area which is an absolute hazard. I nearly had a very nasty fall. Breakfast buffet is less than average and included rancid butter. We pointed this out to the waiter that it really should be on ice. Dinner was a disaster.My main course arrived few minutes after my husbands and was inedible. I know all about al dente rice but this risotto was partly raw and way over salted. Hugely expensive and really not worth it. Beware ... taxi from Port, which is around a 7 minute ride, was 30 euros ....yes that's right 30 euros! And we moan about black cab costs in London! There is a road very close to the pool and not a main road at all but it does have passing vehicles. The air can become a little thick with the smell of petrol in the heat. All in all just a very average hotel with prices that do not reflect service or amenities. I did pass on my remarks to Mr & Mrs Smith who passed onto the hotel. They informed me there was no compensation. I had NOT mentioned compensation ..was not looking for compensation and this only demonstrates the lack of professionalism and actually arrogance.

Staff were very welcoming on arrival and helped us with luggage. The complimentary drink on arrival was very refreshing. Due to arriving on my birthday the staff offered a bottle of champagne to arrive at our room which was a very generous gift. Breakfast was included in our stay and was very good. Offering both buffet and Al a carte. The plunge pool in the room was lovely to relax in and the views over looking the new port were beautiful to wake up to and have our morning coffee overlooking.
