Semeli Coast Mykonos, Curio Collection by Hilton

We recently stayed at Semeli Coast Hotel and, while the property itself is beautiful and the staff are generally friendly, our experience unfortunately did not reflect the standards of a 5-star hotel. We had clearly communicated in advance that we were traveling with an elderly family member who has mobility issues. Despite this, we were initially assigned a room that required navigating many stairs. It took nearly two hours and a complaint before we were moved to a more suitable room, which was not a great start. Additionally, we had also informed the hotel ahead of time that we were traveling with a 2-year-old who needed a cot. When we arrived, there was no cot provided. After some back and forth, they brought a pack-and-play with no mattress — only bed sheets, which we found unsuitable for a toddler. Another issue was dietary communication. Despite informing the hotel about a dairy allergy in our group, room service meals repeatedly arrived with butter – even when we specifically asked for no dairy. Staff would sometimes suggest dishes without sauce to avoid dairy, yet fail to realize that butter is also dairy, and used it anyway. This shows a clear lack of communication and training. That said, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was decent, and the overall grounds of the hotel are truly stunning. It’s unfortunate that a series of avoidable service issues left us feeling like we were staying at a 4-star hotel rather than a 5-star one. We won’t be returning, but hope our feedback encourages improvements for future guests.

This hotel is so amazing. If you’re worried about the overwhelming tourism of Mykonos, this is your spot. Great staff, nice breakfast, beautiful rooms. Incredible views. Small beach that is rocky but so private with comfortable sunbeds, beach bar service, and crystal clear gorgeous water. Surrounded by cliffs, couldn’t be more picturesque. Driving is tough - the road there is rocky and all the roads in Mykonos are quite narrow. But if you can handle that, this place is the absolute best. Thanks for a great stay!
