The Victoria Inn

We stayed in the Eucalyptus Suite, which is just as lovely in person as in the photos. And very thoughtfully appointed - everything including a USB hub, corkscrew, flashlight, chess set and even salt and pepper in the well equipped kitchenette. However, this room is not especially senior friendly. We are in our 70s, reasonably fit and healthy, but do try to avoid situations where we could fall. The bed's mattress came up to my waist. I was able to use the provided bed steps to get in, but had to carefully slide down and sort of thump to the floor to exit. My husband, who is taller, was able to sort of hop in. The beautiful tub was too tall for us to feel comfortable getting in and out of, so we relied on sink baths during our stay. If you are younger, fitter or less cautious, you will love this room. Otherwise, give it some thought. The included continental breakfast was very nice and the lovely woman in charge of it could not have been more welcoming. All the employees were great. In general you will be happy staying here.

The roon exceeded my expectations. Lange and quite. And a short distance from the main strip in Murphys. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The metal roof would pop when the air changed. But not a big deal. We got use to it quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. They were also very accommodating when my husband had a bad migraine, and we needed to check out a little later. The breakfast is nice and has options! We can’t wait to come back!

We had a lovely 2 night stay in one of the smaller rooms. The bed was very comfortable . The bathroom was spacious and the shower within the old fashioned bathtub was fine. For those with limited mobility it might be difficult to get in and out of the tub. The continental breakfast was nice but the coffee was not very strong. Staff were nice especially Linda.

We had a very enjoyable Fall weekend in the Gold Country. Everything at The Victoria Inn was well thought out. Linda and her staff are friendly and helpful and staying exceeded my expectations. I would return next time we are in Murphys, California.

We had an amazing stay at the off-site vacation rental from the Victoria Inn in Murphys, CA! The property was absolutely beautiful and fully equipped with all the amenities we could have hoped for. It was clear that attention to detail was a priority—everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being just a short walk from the heart of downtown Murphys. We were able to enjoy the charming shops, wineries, and restaurants with ease. The Victoria Inn team was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality is second to none. I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone visiting Murphys! Can’t wait to come back!
