My wife and I spent spent one night in this accommodation. The location is quite remote. There is "nothing" in the small village; the closest restaurant is a few miles away. Cars can be securely parked within the premises; access is not the easiest but nothing to really worry about. Two nice ladies welcomed us when we checked-in in the afternoon. They showed us to our room. I had booked a "Large Double or Twin Room" (and had specifically requested the "Double") on ***********. We ended-up with the Twin room... The room itself is clean and relatively comfortable with a nice view over the valley. However, its en-suite bathroom is small and the shower space really tiny! It took a little bit of effort to squeeze through the doors (luckily, I am not a particularly tall or heavy guy)! Don't expect to be free of your movements once trapped inside! :-) WiFi did not work for us at all. We were told when we checked-in that we could have breakfast outside "if the weather was nice in the morning". It appears that this was - in fact - not the plan. The weather was fantastic at 8.30am but we were shown to a tiny veranda - nothing great there to say the least. Breakfast mostly consisted of bread, grapes and melon - nothing comparable to the outstanding breakfasts we had had in the hotels / B&B we had visited in the previous days. It became a little bit frustrating when we saw just a few minutes later that there were indeed tables on the outside terrace and spots available. We would have appreciated to be offered the choice of this much better environment to start the day. Last thing to mention; this accommodation does NOT accept credit cards; only cash. I had missed the small print on ***********; and clearly was not expecting this term given the price of 76EUR we were charged. This is the first time during our trip that we are told "cash only" to settle the cost of our stay. Overall, we were disappointed. This experience was in no way what we expected given the reviews I had read prior to booking. We may well be the exceptions that confirm the (positive) rule experienced by other guests (?). Too bad!
