A nice enough room. Very warm. Few things... 1. Entry is via external steep steps. If you have difficulties handling steps, this isn't the room for you. 2. The bed was too small for two big men, and neither of us slept well 3. The shower is similarly tiny, it was a feat to get in and out Other than that, it was a room with a great view of the sand flats/estuary. I believe the suite is an absolute treat, shame because that's what brought me here. One recommendation: Make sure you eat in the pub downstairs, the food is fantastic. it looks rough and desperately in need of a refurb, However, the food is top-notch fine dining - no pub grub here.

Passing by I didn’t think this little place would serve food. Looked like a beer only establishment. Took a punt and stepped in to be greeted by the owner behind the bar who said a table would be free in a few mins if we could wait. Nice ale (Jarl) on handpull. CAMRA certificate on display behind the bar for a seasonal winner in the region. Food was amazing. Certainly a step up from standard pub fayre. Compliments to the chef….and to the owner who was attentive and made sure we were happy with everything. 👍

I went to he restaurant with 3 friends and chose lentil bolognaise. The portion was small dry and warm rather than hot, lots of pasta very little sauce. Poor presentation. Thank goodness we ordered chips, they came after the meal but were lovely

Shockingly bad. First ale was turning to off, just quaffable. On the main menu, 2 of 4 items were unavailable. Only one special available. No deserts at all available. Quality of food was adequate. Then to cap it all, totally overpriced. Shame because it was very very good about a year ago.
