It is rare that the actual experience of a hotel surpasses the expectations set by their web site, but that describes our experience here. This is a beautiful property -- great rooms, very comfortable and luxurious, nice (though limited) public spaces, uncrowded pool, and the setting is one of the most beautiful we've been to anywhere. The web site really doesn't do justice to the property. The food has also been excellent, both at breakfast and at dinner, though the dinner menu is limited, so for a stay of more than a few days you might plan to try other places some nights. The setting for dinner on the terrace is one of the most spectacular we've experienced anywhere in the world. And the service has been very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended; we hope to return again some day soon!

Wir waren vier Nächte im Colombier und haben die Gegend mit dem Fahrrad, zu Fuss und dem Motorrad erkundet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wurden durch die Gastgeber mit wertvollen Tipps versorgt. Man fühlt sich wie bei Freunden und wird hervorragend betreut. Da wir ausserhalb der Saison da waren, war das Restaurant zu, wir wurden aber durch die Gastgeber an die Restaurants im Ort und im Nachbarort verwiesen und bekamen wertvolle Hinweise über die jeweiligen Lokale.

This reconditioned farm house is outside of Moustiers. The farm has wisteria on the staircase and the climbing roses were just about in bloom. The room was quite large and had a view of lavender fields. Care has clearly been taken with the decor. Sylvie, the owner was quite helpful with suggestions for hikes or bicycle rides. There was also a good breakfast provided.
