Hahndorf Oak Tree Cottages

What an absolute gem I can not recommend this place more highly. The owners Russell and Lisa from the moment we arrived were so helpful. The cottages are sparkly clean yet quaint and homely, they offer everything you need and some. You walk out your quiet cottage and boom you are in town. Lisa took the time to explain where to go and what to do, offering great advice on the cheapest to the finest in town to which she was spot on. Other friends arrived to join us and got the exact warm and accomodating welcome. Do yourself a favour and support this couple that have recently taken over, I know we will be back and looking forward to the ice creamery and extras they are adding. This place has an amazing oak tree in the courtyard for all to enjoy, it's 100 years old we just sat under and enjoyed with a drink, but each cottage has its own porch anyway which is stunning

The six cottages surround a superb, yet intimate courtyard dominated by a massive oak tree. This is a perfect couples retreat at whatever age you are! The location is perfect. Right by the Hahndorf main street, but you wouldn't know it when you're there and easy to miss the security gated entrance if you're not looking! So much to see, eat and drink within walking distance. Hosts Russell and Lisa are gems too! Cannot speak highly enough of this property and will be returning.

This is a top shelf set up all round. Gated parking, excellent private rooms and central location. The staff are nearly non existent but that was fine. Once checked in they leave you alone unless you need something. We enjoyed not having to worry about when housekeeping might want to get in etc. The rooms are large, quiet and well appointed.

Perfect location. On main street though set back so very peaceful and quiet. Could not fault anything about these cottages. Very comfortable, extremely clean, just perfect. Easy stroll to everything in the village and short drive to anywhere. Haven't been this impressed with accommodation for a long time.

Great location, nice stay. Many quality places to eat within only a couple of minutes walk. Place is very nice ( as previous reviews have stated) Reverse cycle heating/cooling available, night light in the bathroom, towels are thick and thirsty, full length mirror on back of bedroom door( I didn't see it until much later), milk in fridge, microwave, Coles service station very close across the road if you get peckish before 10pm. Secure parking meant that I had no concerns about the car.

These cottages are situated in the village of Hahndorf’s Main Street. They are perfectly located a short drive from Adelaide and set amongst some beautiful countryside. These are very comfortable suites and have all you desire, even the use of laundry facilities. The owners are very accomodating and I would tell everyone to check them out. PS… the dress shop down the road is a must too. Barry and Lynette Cooper
