Ich bin überall zufrieden mit dem Hotel, das war das zweite Mal, dass ich dort war. Ich habe jedoch nur 3* auf die Reinigung gesetzt, weil die Decken und die Schale ziemlich fragwürdig waren, und nicht sicher, ob sie von den vorangegangenen Kunden gut gewaschen wurden, wie wir es annehmen. 3* für das Personal, erklären Sie mir: sehr freundlich und professionell, aber ich hatte den unbehaglichen Eindruck, als ich in den Urlaubschecken bei der Ankunft zu bezahlen wollte, zu einer Lügnerin zu gehen. I can not even sure where to begin in listing my praises for Chais Monnet. We just returned from a 3 week visit to France which included time in Cognac and Bordeaux. If only we could have spent all our time at Chais Monnet our trip would have been absolute heaven. The property itself is outstanding, modern and yet with a hint to preserving the past in a thoughtful and respectful way. Our room was beyond comfortable, the bed dreamy. i most appreciated the separate water closet with its own sink, a lovely and thoughtful arrangement. The entire property was spotless and attention to detail seemed to be projected at every corner. I am so surprised to see negative comments related to the staff because our experience was the exact opposite of that. Ellie in guest relations went above and beyond to prepare things for our visit, arranging special birthday celebrations for our traveling companion, making dinner recommendations and reservations, and leaving a personal note thanking us for staying. My only regret was I did not get to meet her in person to thank her, she was on holiday during our visit (well deserved Ellie). All the staff from the breakfast crew to the rooftop bar were friendly and amazingly eager to meet your requests. The bar staff was delightful and we enjoyed several evenings in the Jazz House and at the Rooftop bar enjoying cocktails and excellent and informative conversation. The Spa services were professional and spot on and pool, oh the glorious pool. We spent an entire day enjoying spa services and the pool with consistent but discreet food and bar service. I cannot find enough adjectives to adequately communicate our level of satisfaction. We felt welcomed, taken care of, and appreciated, no one was stuffy or overbearing. The five star designation is well deserved and in the future when I return to this area of France the only place I will consider staying is Chais Monnet. Travail bien fait!!! Wow. What an experience the heritage is! The hotel has been recently renovated to a very high standard and has everything you would ever need. The reception was very well handled and all of the staff have been absolutely wonderful. A special mention to Louise, sarah and carla who were just the best! Nothing was ever too much for us all considering we were with a huge party of family attending a wedding. The room we had was an accessibility room, decent sized but may be a struggle with a wheelchair but table could be moved if needed. The bed was sublime! I have never slept so well and huge! The shower was excellent, although we did have an issue with water leaking into the bedroom but both the cleaners who were excellent (saline and nadia) sorted the issue straight away. The breakfast was lovely, did have to get down there early to get a cooked breakfast though as the hot food isn't replenished. Fresh bread and pastries however were plentiful and delicious. The tv in the room we had wasn't great for english channels but we were hardly in the room so not much of an issue. The bar is always open for whatever you need. The location of the hotel is simply perfect as it is close to the main areas and close to the stunning park. We didn't go to the restaurant but heard very good things about the food so well worth a try! We will hope to return as a couple in the future and look forward to it very much! Très bonne nuit sur la route des vacances ! La piscine est propre et très agréable après la route. La literie pour les enfants est une vraie literie dans les chambres de quatre, ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas. Un petit problème de propreté a été très vite réglé. Aussi n’hésitez pas à signaler ce genre de problèmes pour permettre au personnel de réagir. Chambres très bien isolées, nous n’avons pas entendu la route. Certes, il est difficile de dormir la fenêtre ouverte mais il y a la clim. Le petit-déjeuner est varié et très bon, surtout le far breton 👏🏻. Enfin mention spéciale à l’équipe pour son accueil souriant et sa gentillesse.
