We stayed at Moxy Montreal Downtown for four nights as a family, and overall, we had a very pleasant experience.
The hotel is new, modern, and very well designed. The decor is creative and fun, and you can tell that a lot of attention has been paid to the small details throughout the property. The lobby also had a fresh, pleasant scent that added to the overall feeling of cleanliness and gave a great first impression.
Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel in general had a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. The gym and pool were excellent, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient whenever we needed something.
There is currently some construction happening around the hotel, which can make access and getting around the area a little inconvenient, but it was not a major issue for us.
The room with two beds was a little small, although still acceptable for our stay. There is also no traditional closet in the room; instead, clothes are hung on open wall-mounted hangers. It fits the modern Moxy design and can look quite stylish, but some guests may find it less practical, especially during a longer stay.
One small disappointment was when we asked for slippers and were told they had run out. I found this a little surprising for a Marriott property, as basic guest amenities like this should ideally be consistently available. It was a minor issue, but it did affect the experience slightly.
Overall, for a three-star, economy-style hotel within the Marriott family, Moxy Montreal Downtown delivered a very enjoyable stay. What stood out most to me was how new and clean everything felt, the creative design, and the attention to detail. I would happily consider staying here again.
