Angebliches Châteaux et Relais 5 Sterne Hotel auf dem Niveau einer besseren Jugendherberge: Zimmer im 3. Stock ohne Lift, über einen Hinterhofzugang zu erreichen, im Rezeptionsbereich keine Lobby, Auto ohne Empfang auf dem Parkplatz zu parken, Spabereich nur über unüberdachten Hof zu erreichen. Besuch im 1Sterne Restaurant war eine herbe Enttäuschung. Hier versucht man alles zu sein: Weingut, exkluvises Hotel, Spa und Gourmetrestaurant und schafft den Spagat nicht! Die geplante und bereits begonnene Vergrößerung des Hotels wird die Situation sicher nicht verbessern. Schade!

Sehr schön bei Montpellier. Im April, etwas leer. Restaurant war dafür gut ausgebucht und gut! Leider kein Lift und die Treppen sind mühsam. Dekoration des Zimmers ist Geschmacksache: sehr edel aber für mich sind violett und schwarz eher Trauerfarbe… nicht desto trotz ein schöner Stopp auf die Durchreise.

Für unsere Rückfahrt aus Spanien hatten wir uns dieses Hotel zur Übernachtung ausgesucht. Ich hatte für unseren Aufenthalt freundlich um einen früheren Check-in als den vom Hotel angegebenen um 16h angefragt. Daraufhin kam dies als Antwort zurück: If you want an early check-in you will have to take the room one night before. Best regards, Abel Hab ich in der Form noch nie so erlebt und werde dort sicher auch nicht mehr buchen.

Extremes noisy at night Chaotic and very slow staff mostly Didn’t feel welcome even though €800 a night. Great vibe by the pool and music night Despite these negative comments we would make a third visit.

Quaint hotel and property. The room was spacious and the rooftop terrance was a nice surprise. The spa was very nice with a steam and dry sauna, 2 pools and a warm tub. The winery was enjoyable to walk through.
The restaurant should advise that dining will be about 3-4hrs. The food was excellent as was the service, but it’s meant to be spaced out and enjoyed. I would recommend booking the earlier options so that you’re finished by 10:30pm.

We enjoyed so much the Maison Verchant and wanted to experience the Domaine de Verchant… and we cannot hide our disappointment in terms of accommodation and restaurant experience. The breakfast, the spa, the bellboy remain at high standards… but the room is so old (mattress too much used, not enough light in the bathroom, a leaking bathtub…) even tough we received a free upgrade. We had dinner at the La Plage - the apéritif was average but the staff was too busy, the starter was decent, the main course too dry and the dessert acceptable. As bread lovers, we were disappointed as it was so dry we did not finish it. The atmosphere in the room was spoiled by a very noisy wedding lunch - why did you not privatize the room for this event?

Lovely place, Beautiful and nice people, I recommend it ! We went there this spring, as part a trip in south of France. This place is definetely worth it, and the massages at the spa are just amazing.

It’s a heartwarming thing to choose a hôtel purely on the basis of location only to find that it’s really a bit of a gem. We had an eight night stay at the beautiful Domain de Verchant, set amongst its own vineyards and parkland, only a few kilometres outside historic Montpellier. The rooms were both charming and well appointed , the food in the two different restaurants was really very good and the spa/ pool areas are quite wonderful with first rate facilities. However, it is the professional and friendly service that sets this hotel apart . Under the General manager, Jean-Pascal Picolette, thé team show their dedication and pleasure in looking after their residents, whether it be serving a poolside sandwich or a 5 course fine dining meal at their superb restaurant Marcelle. Thank you all at Domaine de Verchant for creating such an enjoyable family holiday. Mubariz Hussain
