Il Melograno Country Resort

We rented the beautiful Melograno as a group of 28 people. The rooms are very lovely made and the outdoor area is just stunning. Especially the view from the pool. Candida was a very friendly and helpful host. She lives just next door and we could reach her all the time. If you like to cook by yourself - you should bring your own kitchen essentials. Kitchen equipment could be better. But otherwise nothing to complain about this place. If you're looking for something truly exceptional for a reasonable price - you should bool Il Melograno.

We had an unforgettable week at Il Melograno with a family group of 21 people ranging in age from 3 to 63. The property is large with plenty of areas to eat and drink together as well as places to escape and find some peace and quite. There are stunning views in every direction too. We did find that in the evenings the local mosquitos thought we were all very tasty, so I would advise visitors to take plenty of repellent. The cottage and barn had air conditioning which was most welcome in the high August temperatures. The bedrooms in the main house were warm but they all had ceiling fans which helped with the heat. The layout of the main kitchen wasn't ideal if there were more than two people trying to prepare food at the same time, but in a beautiful old farmhouse, what do you expect! The swimming pool was used and enjoyed by all of us and most welcome. We also had several trips to the beach, which was only a 20 minute drive away. There are plenty of small towns and villages in the area to visit, all full of character and beauty. Candi and her family looked after us brilliantly. They were always on hand to help if we needed it but otherwise left us to enjoy our family time together. Candi gave us lots of useful tips, such as the best local bakery and the Thursday Antiques market to visit. On one evening we had a birthday celebration and Candi catered for us creating a delicious 5 course meal for 17 people. It was a very special night and we will cherish the memory.

We stayed in this stunning property with four families. There was more than enough room for 22 adults/ teenagers. The views from the property are breathtaking. Candida and her gorgeous son could not have been more helpful. We asked quite a lot of questions and they were answered quickly with fabulous recommendations to so many different and varied places- mountains, beach, restaurants, ice cream cakes, pottery shops, discos, hilltop towns, festivals etc etc. This is a gem of a place and Candida and her family could not make you feel more welcome from enquiry right through to departure. Had the best stay at Il melograno. The perfect villa to celebrate my wife’s birthday with friends and family. Candida and her family couldn’t have done anymore to make sure our stay was perfect. The views from the pool are amazing and every space is perfect. Can’t wait to come again

We stayed at Melograno for two weeks and had a fantastic time. Daniel and Candi are brilliant hosts. They answered all our questions before we arrived and were on hand if we needed anything during our stay. High lights for us were many! The area is beautiful. It's well worth booking Daniel for a tour of the area and visit some local vineyards. We were a large family group of different ages but we all enjoyed the pool and the beautiful terraces that surround the villa. Candi and her team cooked two truly fabulous meals for us. We were a total of five families from Germany. The landlords, the Jennings family, were perfect hosts and the food was excellent. The Jennings family's tips on restaurants, beaches, markets, etc. were worth their weight in gold. The property including the houses and the views are breathtaking. The pictures on the internet only capture a fraction of the beauty. Overall it was a nice vacation.
