I absolutely loved the location of this resort, and it was my second time visiting. However, this was my first time staying overnight. I booked a two-bedroom suite on the second floor, which was located at the far end corner of the building. Unfortunately, I found that the structure and material of the floor were poorly constructed. We could hear every step from the floor above, and it was quite disruptive. Every morning, we were woken up between 6-7 am by kids walking, running, and jumping. We had to call the front desk to send security and issue them a warning. Furthermore, the AC and heat in our room were not functioning, resulting in a very cold night. The master bedroom doesn’t have HVAC vents so the report put a portable AC and run the hot exhaust pipe in between the sliding door, hotel use a wood stick to prevent anyone from entering into the room via the balcony. This was definitely not acceptable for a luxury resort. When I complained to the front desk staff, they were apologetic and informed me that they had been experiencing issues with the AC. As a temporary solution, they installed portable AC units in the rooms. I have included a picture for reference. On the other hand, the spa facility itself was wonderful, but I had a disappointing experience with the spa host. They were not friendly at all and did not make eye contact or greet me during the three days I was there. One aspect of the resort that I did enjoy was the beach service. The servers were always checking on the guests and providing great service. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the on-site restaurant, Scarpetta Beach. The quality and taste of the food were not up to par and definitely needs improvement. It was not a good enough experience for a luxury resort.
