It was the perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion. Your generosity and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Thank you again for everything! I recommended my sister to celebrate her birthday in October, and once again they were given the royal treatment by Massimo and all of the magnificent staff at Castello di Velona. Everything was perfect, the suite decor, the Spa, the thermal waters, the private wine tasting, helicopter ride. Everything Castello di Velona has to offer is simply splendid.

Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten oder zu Juwelen ausserhalb der Touristenströme. Mehr Erholung geht nicht.

Went here for a VIP tour. The tour start with a lunch in their taverna. The food was amazing. We had a full four course meal with a ”cheese ball” starter, pasta as prima and veal as secondi with icrecream for desert. We have a great sampling of the vines from Banfi with the meal and great service. After the meal we went on a tour of the Banfi winery and ended up with a tasting. Our guide Paul did a fantastic job. This is a major brunello provider that goes back to 15th century with beautiful views. We loved the experience.

Capanna suites is a stunning, luxury property, situated in tranquil surroundings. By far, this was our favourite hotel during our trip of Tuscany. The hotel facilities (including stunning pool) and our room were fantastic, but it was the staff that made the experience for us. Every member of staff was full of personality, loved what they were doing and honestly couldn’t do enough for you, during our stay. We enjoyed our complementary Capanna wine tasting on the first evening, led by Antonio. We enjoyed learning about and sampling the wines from the hotels very own vineyard and found the local wines very competitively priced on the restaurant wine list. We are in the restaurant on each of our three nights and loved every meal. The restaurant overlooks stunning scenery; there is nothing else quite like it, watching the sun set whilst eating your meal! Definitely one our favourite hotels - we can’t wait to be back!
