Il Giardino di Venere

A slightly odd but enjoyable stay. This is a large and luxurious private villa on a private gated estate - during our stay the owner and his wife were staying which was unexpected. They were seen in and around the pool and garden during the day. The owner was helpful, spoke English, but we found this presence a bit off-putting. There were four staff members - the two who looked after the guests were really excellent - Elena and Rose-Maria. Helpful, charming and personable. They gave lots of tips for trips, car parking and local restaurants. They also provided breakfast which was very good with lots of home-made cakes, jams and biscuits. Top marks! The villa is a longish walk from Mondello town centre - about 25 mins with a very busy and scruffy road to cross. In the end we took taxis each evening at about 25Eu each way. We stayed in one of the rooftop suites which were very nice, our daughter’s basement room was a bit dark and not quite so nice. An unwelcome surprise was that no food or drink was allowed to be brought into the villa - we would normally have brought a few light snacks or crisps in for lunch. One day we asked for a light lunch to be provided which was nice but no pricing. On departure we found this was 30Eu which was OKish. Overall a nice stay.

Struttura distante circa 12 min a piedi dal mare e a circa 30 min dal centro di Mondello. Parti comuni interne ed esterne buone Camere nel seminterrato non accettabili per il prezzo che si paga. Non abbiamo ricevuto la pulizia giornaliera della stanza. Prezzi di cibo e bevande fornite sono esageratamente costose per il servizio offerto e visto anche il fatto che è vietato portare cibo all’interno della struttura. Personale assente per la maggior parte della giornata. Sono abituato a viaggiare molto per lavoro e per svago, sia in hotel che in B&B e mi sento di sconsigliare vivamente questa struttura.
