Baobab Holiday Resort

A wonderful relaxing 9 days all inclusive beach part of our holiday. Having been to this hotel on a number of occasions the main differences were the quality of the food and of course the monkeys!! The staff as usually apart from the very odd one were attentive and friendly. The hotel is going through some updating and building work which is required. Our superior room was again more than suitable but in need of updating. We would definitely go again even though we said it would be our last time. The company and management should be very proud of their staff. Jambo jambo kenya. ❤️

It's a bit of a trip from the airport so best to book an a/c car. The resort itself is one of the best in the area. Check-in was smooth and welcoming. Plenty of food options during breakfast/lunch/dinner. And special requests can be made in advance to the crew for dietary requirements [special veg/vegan]. two restaurants, both provide same food options. All inclusive drinks are normal juices, and alcoholic drinks are local brands. Others available but we found the local drinks better. Everything is literally cleaned daily. Clientele are international, so not only locals. So plenty of people sunbathing etc, a relaxed atmosphere, which is not felt on my other visit to Mombasa. One can wear bikinis around the pool and not feel awkward, unlike other resorts in Mombasa. Sun beds can be reserved with a towel. Poolside showers available. Rooms were clean spacious. Shower was not cramped and nice warm water when needed. beds are super comfy. and very quiet. For multi rooms with interconnecting doors, its best to book early and state to the resort you would like connecting rooms. our room was ground floor pool facing. there was some nice from poolside and music, but the view is great and quicker access to reception/pool. Each room has 2 water bottles, changed daily. I would recommend the all inclusive option. Mid meal snacks also available around the main pool area. Beach is good for walks and small kids. Local beach sales persons are pestering but go away if you ignore them and tell them no. There are guards at the beach entrance and some walking around the property, providing security. All items worked as they should, no loose fittings [hand rails, taps, handles etc]. If I visit Mombasa again I will 100% stay here again and would recommended it to anyone. I would recommend a stay of minimum 2 nights. I could stay there for weeks.

For a truly authentic Chinese cuisine, Gold Chopsticks, the restaurant in Boabab holiday resort is the place to go. Delicious authentic Chinese food with warm smile of the owner, who attends to each guest personally, make a big different in enjoying the food. I must say that the resort was very nice the accommodation was also very nice and clean but the food in the all-inclusive restaurant was at best totally rubbish to a point were it was uneatable we stayed there for 22 nights take care when booking out of season as most things are closed there was only one restaurant open other then the very expensive fish restaurant which you have to pay for the only pools available was very noisy we stayed far to long here if you are not into very spicy food look elsewhere

Het hotel ligt direct aan de Diani Beach en bestaat uit verschillende mooie gebouwen en restaurants. In totaal zijn er drie zwembaden en verschillende bars. Voldoende aanbod voor sport, ontspanning en entertainment is aanwezig. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en communicatief. Hun vriendelijkheid maakte op ons een authentieke indruk. Het eten is afwisselend en lekker. De tuinen zijn verzorgd en de baobabs en palmen heerlijk om aan te zien. Ondanks deze faciliteiten hebben we vaak buiten het hotel vertoefd, voor een safari, bezoek aan Mombasa en de Village vlak bij. Daar bezochten we een school en de Bush dr. We waren eveneens bij locals uitgenodigd om samen in hun huis te eten. We denken dat we het echte Kenia hebben leren kennen. En we raden iedereen aan hetzelfde te doen. Wie ervoor kiest om op hotel te blijven zal zich ongetwijfeld vermaken, maar het echte Kenia vindt buiten het hotel plaats. Enig minpunt: men kan geen ongestoorde strandwandeling maken. Op het strand lopen zeer veel locals rond die u niet loslaten voor je iets gekocht hebt. Ze zijn vriendelijk maar hebben enkel een intentie: je iets verkopen (armbandjes, beeldjes, handtassen, uitstappen..) ze beginnen altijd met hoge prijzen, dus zeker negotiëren. Als je niets koopt ga alsnog in gesprek met hen, ze appreciëren dat en je leert deze mensen die een ongelofelijk hard leven leiden, beter kennen. Wil je zo weinig mogelijk lastig gevallen worden ga enkel met badpak en handdoek naar beneden.

Très grand complexe qui regroupe 3 hotels. Le personnel est très souriant et très â l ecoute . L hotel est très bruyant , on entend le balais permanent des touristes qui arrivent et qui partent nuit et jour non stop à l importe quelle heure . Du fait que les salles de bien n ont pas de fenêtre En revanche, toujours les mêmes plats servis aux 2 restaurants principaux ce qui est dommage .
