Chambres d'Hotes - la Marmoire

We enjoyed our stay at La Marmoire . Corinne and Laurent were very welcoming . We made use of the lovely garden and swimming pool. We stayed 2 nights and both evenings enjoyed excellent home cooked food at a reasonable price and a bottle of Chablis. We would be very happy to return

The lovely couple who own and run La Marmoire were delightful and passionate about the place and gave us a wonderful time capped with an excellent meal and breakfast. The location is a rural idyll with a heated outdoor pool, a beautiful garden and walks from the back door. Highly recommend.

The location of the house is excellent, being just a short drive from the historic town of Chateaubriant. The town itself is interesting but is also useful as it has trains to Nantes and Rennes. We made good use of the facilities at the house, including the swimming pool, the honesty bar, the garden. Our hosts provided us with a delicious proper French breakfast - juice, pastries, fresh bread and hot drinks every day, and in the evening we were able to sample delicious dinners.

Our hosts were amazing they made us extremely welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. The farmhouse was lovely and cosy. The facilities were really good with the outdoor pool and jacuzzi both of which we used. Our hosts made us a three course meal on our first night which was lovely, tasty and very welcome. We highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful farmhouse! From arrival, the hospitality of Roger and Susan was fantastic! The dinner was, the decor - beautiful and chic…the pool and gardens relaxing. Definitely worth another visit…girlfriends trip next time!

An idyllic farmhouse in a secluded location offering a peaceful and welcoming stay. Corinne and Laurent are new owners having taken over I believe in the last 6 months. They were both very welcoming although Laurent didn't speak English and my French consists of very few words so our conversations consisted of me smiling and nodding as Laurent chatted away with the odd word here or there I understood 😆. Fortunately, Corinne spoke much better English than my French! We arrived at 7pm just in time for dinner, which was enjoyed outside as it was such a beautiful evening. The pool looked very welcoming and as we didn't have time to enjoy it that evening, we made the most of it before breakfast the next day. The room (La Terrasse) was lovely and clean. We were lacking large towels but that was an oversight and sorted as soon as I mentioned it. The dinner and continental breakfast were tasty. I would highly recommend it as a wonderful place to stay when in this area.
