I usually don't do reviews, but this one deserves one. There was a problem with my reservation when I arrived. I have been a Marriott Bonvoy Member for quite some time and never had a problem with any of my past reservations. Long story short the onsite manager Anne took care of it above and beyond. The problem was resolved quickly to my satisfaction. Anne has outstanding customer service skills. She addressed my concerns with courtesy and professionalism! If it hadn't been for Anne, I probably would have started looking for another Hotel chain. Thank you Anne for all you've done, I appreciate you. I truly hope other managers can learn how to treat the customers like Anne did me.

Ich brauchte ein Zimmer für eine Nacht, weil ich eine Show in Downtown Mobile besuchte. Nachdem ich die Kritiken gelesen und mir die Lage angesehen hatte (die ganz in der Nähe des Veranstaltungsortes war), ging ich mit dem Candlewood. Es war sehr schön, vor allem für die Kosten. Es gab eine Miniküche im Zimmer mit einem großen Kühlschrank, zwei Herdplatten, einer Mikrowelle und einer Spüle. Das Badezimmer war sehr schön und hatte eine ebenerdige Dusche mit Glasschiebetüren. Mein Zimmer hatte eine tolle Aussicht auf die Innenstadt. Oh und die Matratzen ..... oh mein Gott! Ich war versucht, die Hüllen abzunehmen, um die Marke zu sehen! Sie waren so gemütlich und komfortabel. Außerdem war das Personal so toll! Matthew ist der, mit dem ich an der Rezeption gesprochen habe und er war absolut phänomenal! Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder ein Zimmer hier buchen, wenn ich nach Mobile reise.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 5 years. It has always been a clean and friendly home away from home. We have tried a few other hotels but none compares. When I have traveled to Macon Georgia for a 50 year class reunion, I looked to Wyndham vs the event host hotel.

This was our first time staying at The Battlehouse and enjoyed every minute of our trip. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. It is so convenient to restaurants downtown Mobile. I am writing this review not only because we had a great experience, but because I had left a pair of sunglasses in my room and didn’t think they would be found. I contacted the hotel about my bill (all was good) and told Ashley, the person I spoke with, that I had left my sunglasses. She immediately checked and called me back to say they had been found. I received my sunglasses the next day! We will definitely plan to stay there again.

I did not plan to stay at this hotel- I was on a long road trip, and due to unanticipated road work and traffic accidents along the way that caused significant driving delays, I was unable to make it to my destination that evening. I booked the room on the Marriott Bonvoy app. The desk clerk was not at the front desk when I arrived- he was in a room behind the desk. The hallway was dark and dingy- very poorly lit. The room was clean; however, I wanted to use the freezer in the room refrigerator and found what is shown in the attached photo. Other issues: lightbulb in the room was burnt out, and while shampoo and bar soap was in the room, there was no lotion. I went downstairs to ask for it- and again, the clerk had to be summoned to the desk. I had no issues whatsoever with noise. I was grateful that the hotel had a hot breakfast- the breakfast hostess was outgoing and welcoming, but so much so that she was almost intrusive. This hotel is located in a busy area off of I-65. If you want a less congestion, I suggest driving north a few miles to Saraland- there are newer hotels in a less urban setting. This hotel could be so much better with a thorough renovation and a few tweeks in customer service.
