Terrible experience. They overbooked! Booked on 19 June 2022 to stay for 3 nights from 3-6 September 2022 prior to a flight back to the UK. Received a voice message on Monday morning 29 August (6 days before arrival) saying the hotel had overbooked and they needed to cancel the booking. The lady said to call reservations or the hotel direct as they would try to find us alternative accommodation. After 4 days of telephone calls to reservations and customer service I was not able to resolve if the room would be available. Tried calling Motel 6 direct but after more than 30 calls over the same period they either would not pick up or the telephone was out of order. Reservations staff could not get through to them either. Reservations/customer services staff emailed the hotel direct a couple of times too asking the hotel to call me urgently. No response. I was provided with an email address on 30 August to email the hotel myself. No reply from the hotel. So after 4 days and with only 2 days before arrival and not knowing if I turned up on 3 September if I would have a room, I had to cancel the booking online and rebook with another nearby hotel at considerable more expense. The dates booked are over a holiday weekend and comparable hotels were either full or considerable more expensive. Do not book with this hotel. You don’t know if you will get a room even if you book well in advance and get confirmation.
