First the positives.. location. Close to the harbour and all the amenities that Adamantas has to offer. Also easy to get public transport nearby. I had a sea view which was lovely. Breakfast was adequate, but not enjoyable. Overcooked eggs, cold bacon… but there were a variety of other options. BUT… the bathroom stank! Some sewerage problems, not uncommon on Greek islands, but this hotel is very aware of the problem and does nothing about it. No drinking water is provided in the rooms. This is very poor as you can not safely drink from the tap, so it is a need for guests. I asked to have one bottle of water before going to buy more for myself but was told ‘we don’t give water to guests’. The ‘hotel’ has listed many amenities on Trip Adviser. Many of them do not exist - there is no bar, no pool bar, no coffee shop… in fact there is nowhere on the premises where you can buy any food or drink at all. The tennis court is cracked and broken, definitely not fit for purpose. No telephone in the room There is not a 24 hour reception service. I was wandering around looking for a member of staff at about midnight, but there was nobody and the reception area was locked. I did not see any spa treatments or salon as listed in amenities, but to be fair I was not looking for them so maybe they were available somewhere. The beach is listed as private… it is not. This, however, is not a problem for me as a beach should be enjoyed by everyone. Be aware that the ‘hotel’ does not provide umbrellas on the beach. You can find this amenity further along the beach but they belong to a different business and will charge you €10 per person for their use. In summary, this hotel is tired, in need of some attention. Inadequately staffed, with very few amenities. If you are looking for a very simple room to rent then this may suit you, just don’t expect too much!
