Wir hatten einen Aufenthalt in Swindon, damit wir für den Geburtstag meiner Frau nach Stonehenge reisen können. Ich bat das Hotel vorab, etwas zu tun, um die Gelegenheit zu markieren, was sie sehr gut gemacht haben. Als wir angemeldet waren, hatte das Zimmer Ballons und glückliche Geburtstagsnachrichten rund um das Zimmer. Eine andere Sache, die mich beeindruckte, war das Frühstück. Ich war gerade zum Zeitpunkt des Schreibens dieses Reviews zu einem Premier Inn Hotel in London zu Geschäftsreisen. Während Premier Inn etwas mehr Vielfalt in ihren Frühstücksmahlzeiten bietet, ist die Qualität der Lebensmittel in diesem Holiday Inn Express außergewöhnlich, leichte Jahre vor Premier Inn. Gut gemacht, Holiday Inn Express Swindon West!

We enjoy visiting Marlborough but due to the fact there's not really any hotels ”in town” as such, we haven't previously stayed overnight however fancied a 2 night weekend stopover, found the Kingsbury at No 7 & 8 at a very reasonable price & had a wonderful 2 night break. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday evening, left the car in the centre of High Street whilst we grabbed our bags & following the clear instructions received via e-mail & text, let ourselves into the front entrance & once inside, our wonderful room. I can understand how some people may struggle with this however we were fully aware that we weren't staying in a hotel or B&B & were completely fine. Once we'd dropped our bags, we moved the car to the Car Park behind Waitrose which was inexpensive & only a 5 minute walk away then nipped into the burger restaurant adjacent to claim two free cocktails we obtained due to the booking agent. All-in-all a lovely welcome. We were in Room No 3 in Building 8 & our room was lovely. The bathroom in particular was very nicely furnished & the bed was large & very comfortable. Linens were fantastic, the shower was wonderful, heated towel rail, well-lit throughout & ventilation via two traditional windows. Overall the quality of the accommodation was ideal. Due to the height of the ceilings, there was a little dust here & there & one or two of the fittings were a little on the loose side but generally we were incredibly comfortable with our home for the weekend. We found the breakfast left for us a lovely little touch. Chilled orange juice & milk, a choice of Kelloggs cereal, porridge pots, fresh pastries, two fresh fruit salads & separate oat pots in glass jars. All in all, far too much to eat but it was all very tasty. Due to the fact that the room isn't huge with only one small desk & chair, it's pretty much a breakfast-on-the-go but a great addition to our stay. The location of the property is pretty much perfect. It's just beyond the High Street. We left the windows open during the evening & whilst there was more traffic noise than you'd maybe expect from a small little town, we didn't have any issues sleeping or with noise, even on Saturday morning market day ... the only thing you will be disturbed by will be the church bells but this is hardly something to complain about. We didn't eat in the burger joint as we'd had lunch there previously & fancied something a little more formal but if burgers are your thing, they are really good. We knew parking isn't available so rather than worry about leaving it street-side, we just left it in the car park. If you arrive on a Friday night you only have to pay for Saturday daytime & we moved it to the High Street on Saturday night as Sundays are free. All in all we had a wonderful weekend in Marlborough & will definitely return to the Kingsbury.

Meine Mutter und ich nahmen ein Hotel Swindon des Jury für einen kurzen zweitägigen Aufenthalt für eine Konferenz ein. Aufgrund einer medizinischen Notlage und dann, wenn wir beide krank waren, wurde unser zweitägiger Aufenthalt zu einem siebentägigen Aufenthalt. Die Jury wurde unser Zuhause weg von zu Hause und konnte nicht besser sein. Die Mitarbeiter waren angesichts unserer bedauerlichen Situation sehr unterstützend und freundlich. Ich habe niemandens Namen gefangen, aber ich wollte mich besonders bei zwei Mitarbeitern bedanken, die mir bei meiner Mutter geholfen haben, als sie sehr krank war und ins Notfallzimmer ging. Die beiden Damen gingen über und über ihre üblichen Arbeitsaufgaben ohne Zweifel. Ich schulde ihnen eine gewaltige Dankbarkeit und ich hoffe, ihre Aufsichtsbehörden erkennen das erstaunliche Personal, das sie so glücklich haben. Unser Zimmer war sauber, komfortabel und hatte einen großen Blick auf Swindon, die eine charmante Stadt ist. Besonders alte Stadt Swindon, gerade auf der Straße vom Hotel. Es ist zentral auf vielen großen Buslinien gelegen und ist kurzen Spaziergang vom Busstation. Das Frühstücksbuffet war absolut lecker, wie jeder Mahlzeit vom Restaurant. Meine einzige Beschwerde ist, dass das Zimmer nicht mit einem Mini-Kühlschrank oder Mikrowelle ausgestattet war, was für uns sehr bequem gewesen wäre, aber wir konnten nur fein essen zwischen den verfügbaren Lebensmittelzustellungen und dem Hotelrestaurant. Ich wünsche mir, dass jedes Hotel Jury's Inn Swindon Caliber war. Gut gemacht. 👏

Ich habe einen Stern ausgeschlagen, weil, wie auch einige andere Gäste erwähnten, der Service in der Bar und Restaurant langsam sein kann und es fühlte sich, als würden sie vielleicht einen Vordergrund von Hausmeister oder zwei verpassen. Wir haben nur Frühstück gegessen, weil wir das Menü nicht mögen, aber kein Problem, weil es Ladung von Speisen in Hungerford gibt. Das Zimmer im Anhang war fantastisch, viel besser als wir erwarteten, weil der Preis sehr gut war. Das Frühstück war wunderschön und schnell serviert!! Das Personal, mit dem wir interagierten, war sehr nett. Parkplatz ist kostenlos und viele Räume. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt und wir werden sicher zurück sein.

Wir blieben hier für ein Wochenende. Die erste Begrüßung von Ash bei der Ankunft war wunderschön - warm und freundlich. Wir hatten Zimmer 3 das ist ein kleines Doppelzimmer mit en suite. Es ist gut eingerichtet mit 2 Stühlen und einem vernünftigen Blick auf eine grassige offene Bank. Das Zimmer war gut eingerichtet und eingerichtet. Gute Qualität Tee/Kaffee im Zimmer. Die Zimmer sind vom Hauptgebäude so schön und ruhig, abgesehen von anderen Gästen entfernt. Das gesamte englische Frühstück war wunderschön - gut gekocht und ein toller Anfang zum Tag. Auch großartig Kaffee. Kleiner Nebeneffekt - keine Getreide-/Frucht-/Yoghurt-Optionen, obwohl Granola oder Krispie auf Anfrage verfügbar waren. Obwohl wir nicht gegessen haben, denke ich, es wäre eine tolle Erfahrung gewesen. Ich habe einen Pudding bei der Ankunft am ersten Abend - Rhubarb und Cusard. Sei nicht dumm mit dem Namen. Es war eine Schaumkonfektion, versteckt in einer glatt geschliffenen Schale und schön mit italienischer Meringe dekoriert. Es war glorreich! Am Abend sind die Himmel umgeben sehr dunkel mit wenig Lichtverschmutzung so schöne Aussichten auf die Sterne und die Milchwege. Dienst war manchmal etwas langsam, aber Ash arbeitet lange Stunden und ist immer bereit, zu helfen.
