A contemptuous approach towards resident guests and transient customers, is the best way I can summarize my 10 years at this campground. I have affection for the property itself as we raised our son here when our family decided to become a full-time family, while still being tethered to Miami with our local business and our son was still in high school. When we first arrived in 2014, we made a 6 month reservation and it was our impression, when they saw our ethnicity in-person, they suddenly said they had 1 month. We were quiet and helpful neighbors and managed to turn that into 10 years. The staff in the office had very poor accounting and it was a mess for years. Once, I was charged $5k on my card and no one came to my door to let me know. The campground was owned by Encore by this point, the current owners. Their customer service is nonexistent in my opinion. Considering the increasing amount of people using RVs as a home for an extended period, like our military, the sentiment was that the campground had the upper hand since the other choice in the immediate area is only available for 6 months via a county park, Larry and Penny. To use the golf clubs one time, they wanted us to leave our license. I said, but we are using them after you close. Can’t we leave a deposit instead? Also, managers constantly change, the word is the person who oversees the managers makes their job very difficult. Like we have been through Nancy, Vanessa, Elliott, the Sheriff, Cliff, and now Cassandra, with months on end in between with no point of contact at the helm. And the countless times the water was shut off mid-shower due to their plumbing issues that are just now being addressed. If you have other choices, I would look elsewhere first.
