Moxy Miami Wynwood

The single worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I was in town for a work meeting and they blasted music in the lobby bar until 3am to a level that shook my room all through the evening. I had to be up at 6am and got less than 3 hours of sleep. When I asked them to turn it down they said I just had to wait until 2am…there are no words. The music continued beyond 2am. Don’t stay here unless you literally want to sleep next to a subwoofer.

I cruise frequently out of Miami and normally stay in the Brickell area but found this new hotel and decided to give it a try. Loved the hotel and location and although I ran into a couple hiccups that I attribute to working out the kinks of a new property, I imagine I will be back. The setup on the street made it difficult to unload as you have to find whatever parking you can to do that since the width of the street prevents you from pulling over slightly to allow others to pass you. My taxi driver found one spot across and down the street which meant I had to navigate 3 pieces of luggage across traffic. Not ideal but doable. Loved the hotel from the moment I walked in. Very clean. Interesting and eclectic designs. Plenty of seating and opportunities for socializing in the lobby. I checked in on the app and requested a mobile key but still had to check in at the bar so to me checking in on the mobile app is useless. Room was as shown in the hotel’s pictures. There is no refrigerator, microwave or coffee/tea in the room. However I loved the “stash closet” in the hall to quickly grab supplies. I was originally in room 627 and found the fold down shelf that hangs on the wall pulling away from the wall. Not an issue for me but wanted to be sure hotel was aware before it falls down. Then I flushed the toilet one time and the water continued to run which resulted in the toilet overflowing and water running from the bathroom into the room. Needless to say I was horrified but the lobby quickly sent Azra who was phenomenal in how she handled the situation even though we were stepping in standing dirty water. Azra arranged for the lobby to move me to another room and helped me carry my bags through the water to get out of the room. She even continued assisting me by going with me to the lobby to change keys and then helping with my luggage to the new room. She politely declined a tip and was so gracious during the entire thing. I felt horrible for the mess she and others would have to fix but she was actually apologizing to me for having to switch rooms! Her behavior and actions should be commended as I have never seen better customer service! Along the same lines, I want to recognize Katherine at the front desk for her sincere apologies and assistance in transitioning me to another room. She had everything ready when we made it to the lobby for new keys and then had to deal with me later when I called the lobby to say I had left my toiletry bag in my original room. Five minutes later she was at my door with a smile, kind words and my bag. Both of these women went so far above normal customer service and should be commended! Thank you!!!!

This hotel is amazing! Me and 3 friends stayed here last weekend and our stay was incredible. We went to iii points festival which is walking distance to the venue and the closest hotel to the festival. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and they took care of us for everything we requested. You get a complimentary/welcome drink upon check in which was great. My man Chris major shout out, Sierra, Victor, all you guys are top notch and made my stay super nice. If you stay here, which I highly recommend make sure you lounge in the outdoor round chair on the patio, take some pics with their props in the photo studio, use the gym and get your swell on, they have games set up throughout the property, awesome coffee and a dope bar. The location is amazing as well as you are surrounded by so many great restaurants and bars, taco joints and definitely check out the graffiti and hip hop museum which you can easily walk to (basically next door). 10/10 I will most definitely be back here next time I stay in Wynwood area. The hotel is located very centrally in the art district of Wynwood amongst a multitude of restaurants and bars. Entry is on the 1st floor, with the lobby and bar being on the 2nd floor. Check in was friendly and efficient and the staff were very cheerful. The rooms are relatively small. There is no coffee/tea in the room (though free coffee is available in the mornings), nor a safe box though there is a big TV mounted so that you can watch it from bed. There were also no chairs, though the window had a nice seating area where you could rest if needed. The ceiling and some walls are bare concrete giving the room a very 'urban' feel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the a/c worked well. The bathroom had a good collection of toiletries and there is a cupboard by the lifts where you can pick up (for free) any items you may have forgotten as well as additional towels. Despite being a lively area, the room was quiet, though oddly street noises could be heard clearly in the bathroom.
