Das Hotel verfügt über sehr saubere Zimmer. Die Menschen sind sehr freundlich und die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt. Sie bleiben bis zu max 3 min in der Patio Santa Fe. Es gibt Busausgänge zum Dorf, Klettern und an anderen Orten!

I stayed for 10 nights simply to get work done quietly without any distractions (as an experiment in a burst of productivity). It worked out marvelously. Knowing I was committing to stay in the room and on the hotel grounds basically the whole time I took a lot of care in finding the perfect place. I didn't need a fun touristy location (the opposite) and therefore focused on Santa Fe. Among the hotels in the area I considered the Westin (I love their beds) and the JW Marriott, a chain I've enjoyed in various cities. Also the Camino Real and the other Hiltons in the area. I am so glad I chose the Doubletree! The main reason was the room -- which was huge and perfect for my project. I had a separate large space just for work (with a table and a TV that I could hook up to my computer as a large-screen monitor with an HDMI cable). The unexpected bonus was the view from the room: spectacular from the floor- to-ceiling windows (high ceilings too!). With gorgeous storms during the rainy season. What I didn't realize was that the DT is up on a hill so it's positioned above the other hotels. (They do themselves a disservice by numbering their floors as they do. I was on the ”7th floor” but in reality it was the 12th floor since they have a bunch of lower floors with no numbers used for gyms and lobbies and such.) Bed and pillows hit the spot (not the best ever but I slept fine). Air conditioning was quiet and worked perfectly. One odd thing I've seen in other hotels too was a couple sensors on the ceiling, one of which flashed brightly intermittently all night. Why? I had climb up and cover it up with a hat as I'm sensitive to lights while sleeping. Dumb design. Another was some kind of motion sensor ... I never figured out what that was all about but it only flipped on when you walked around so it wasn't a big deal). The breakfast buffet was fine -- I had mostly the fresh fruit spread with yogurt and granola. The gym was also perfect for what I needed -- a treadmill, some free weights, and a yoga mat with almost nobody else ever there (including plenty of terrace areas which I used to work out with an app). There's a nice pool and a spa with massages. The lobby restaurant was exactly what I expected -- not a great restaurant but I ate there happily most nights and walked to Shu, an upscale Japanese restaurant inside the hotel (but with a separate entrance) the other nights. I don't recommend Shu as it was overpriced and felt like a nightclub. The building is well designed with its sister hotel the Garden Inn next door. Nice airy lobby with breezes and high ceiling. Complimentary fast printers in the lobby was a surprisingly generous touch. Walking distance to a fancy mall (Samara) where I got supplies and some snacks and bottles of water. Friendly staff. They accommodated my request for a small refrigerator and over time they remembered my preferences at the restaurant, which was appreciated (gracias Ariel in the morning and Mauricio

Das Hotel ist modern gestaltet, wo das Dekor in guter Lage ist und die gemeinsamen Räume und Zimmer sind sauber. Die Zimmer haben einen Boden bis zu einem Deckplatz und es gibt einen großen Spaziergang in der Dusche, wie ich mag. Es gibt sogar einen kleinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer, der schweigend ruhig ist. As the Hilton Garden is connected to a Doubletree (the share the same driveway) the hotel is full service, including room service, which was prompt and the food hot and wine from the Doubletree's collection. Es gibt zahlreiche Restaurantoptionen gerade unten auf dem Hügel. Natürlich müssen Sie dann auf dem Hügel nach oben gehen! Es gibt ein großes und angenehme Frühstücksbereich auf der unteren Ebene und Snacks können im Lobby kaufen. Das einzige negative während meines Aufenthalts war ein Fernseher, das praktisch unüberschaubar war. Nach etwa zehn Minuten wurde das Bild pixiliert und der Soundintermittler. Es schien nicht das Futter, sondern mein besonderer Monitor. Das Front Desk sagte, sie schickten einen Techniker, um es zu reparieren, aber ich sah nie eine Verbesserung. So konnte ich nur sehen, indem ich es ausschalten, warten ein paar Minuten und zurückkehren. Das würde mir noch ein paar Minuten Zeit zu sehen kaufen. Wie auch immer, obwohl der Führer sagte, es war CNN in Englisch, es gab nicht. Nur Fox (die ich nicht mehr als eine Minute überwachen konnte 😊) oder die BBC, die sich selbst zeitweise wiederholt, scheint es. Neben dem TV, das ich vermute, eins ist aus, werde ich zurück.

Ich dachte, es war ein großes günstiges Hotel. Große Zimmer und mit allem, was man braucht. Das Personal ist freundlich und die Lage ist gut. Sehr nahe Rom Zentrum. Der Preis ist gut. Es gibt einen guten Kaffee vor. Sie haben einen Parkplatz und behalten Ihre Taschen, wenn Sie sie brauchen.

The bell boy service is really embarazing, they want to help and touch the luggage 5 Meters before your final destination. Nevertheless in the critical points, is not possible to find one of them. They are every time in other places or occupied talking with other bell boys.

Ich musste nur den Prozess des Parkscheins gut angeben, ich musste um 3.00 Uhr abziehen und glücklicherweise die Person, die den Fahrschein im Maschinen bescheinigt, finden. The Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico is a new hotel. Its newness shows in any number of ways, both good and bad. First the good: Staff were all friendly. And my room was shiny new and free of signs of wear. Everything in the room worked perfectly. It is true that the room was rather small and that the view was mostly of a blank wall. Since I was by myself and did not spend much time in the room during the day, these latter issues didn’t bother me very much. There were, however, some issues that were also perhaps related to the hotel’s newness. The cleaning staff didn’t empty the wastebasket on the first day and didn’t replenish the Nespresso pods on the second. Perhaps they should start working from a checklist … ? Also, breakfast was only available half an hour later than advertised. And, oddly, only certain guests were offered omelettes. And, as someone who doesn’t eat meat, I was bothered by a cheese-and-luncheon-meat plate on which the cheese and luncheon meat were piled on top of each other. I would also have appreciated labels on the four stew-like dishes on offer—I couldn’t tell what they contained. There is also the issue of billing. When I checked in at 3 p.m., I was asked to pay the entire bill—no problem there. But, when I arrived in my room, I found an e-mail from hotel management informing me that, because the hotel was extra busy, I’d already been charged for day 1. It’s true that I’d opted for a “flexible” rate which required me to agree to pay for the first day whether I showed up or not, but it was a little startling to be charged for a no-show before the earliest possible check-in time—and then charged again when I checked in. It took a week for the double charge to disappear from my credit-card statement. I can’t believe Accor would have approved of this billing procedure. The thing that most bothered me about the hotel was the absence of a minibar. The TripAdvisor website—and also the websites of several booking agencies—all claim that rooms in the Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico have minibars. The Accor website, I’ll admit, doesn’t. But I guess I’ve come to expect that hotels of a certain class would have minibars. And I missed having one, not for overpriced drinks, but for the groceries I bought. I wasn’t, in other words, very enthusiastic about the Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico, although I acknowledge that, with a few changes, it could most definitely be turned into a very good hotel.
