Laqua Countryside

The Laqua Countryside is an excellent boutique hotel. Our family rented two rooms and they were both very nice. The breakfast was served by hotel staff and it was wonderful. The location is a bit more remote, so you should allow some extra time for travel. The staff were very professional and helpful, and we enjoyed the well maintained facilities and yard at the hotel.

Reached with a 30 minutes drive from the main highway from Vico Equense - or apparently a +/- one hour walk over the mountain to/from Positano - this a culinary treat high in the mountains overlooking the Bay of Naples. Food is as you would expect for one star michelin (is that all!) and very reasonably priced compared to what you may pay on the cliffs below. We are a la carte and, with all the extra accompaniments could not manage a desert. Spaghetti with Sea Urchin, signature dish, Turbot and Pigeon, all with amazing flavours and perfectly paired wines, carefully discussed with the restaurant manager. Superb lunch time treat. Tour of hotel and kitchen garden. The few rooms are elegantly designed, with a stunning top floor apartment.

Ci siamo recati presso il ristorante 1 Stella Michelin l’Aqua Countryside in occasione di un anniversario. Per raggiungere il locale la strada è un po’ impervia, per cui si consiglia di seguire le indicazioni allegate alla prenotazione, assolutamente da effettuare in precedenza. Una volta arrivati si passeggia all’interno dell’orto esterno fino a giungere al proprio tavolo. La struttura comprende un residence con piscina immersa totalmente nella natura tra le zone montuose della penisola sorrentina. Abbiamo ordinato 3 differenti menù degustazione: uno vegetariano, 2 Nonno Antonino (prevalentemente “di mare”), 2 Nonna Fiorentina (prevalentemente “di terra”). Moltissime portate dai sapori autentici che ci hanno più che soddisfatto, arrivando alla fine talmente sazi fino a scoppiare! Abbiamo apprezzato tanto gli abbinamenti, i pani e il burro di accompagnamento e soprattutto la piccola pasticceria finale. Il servizio è stato eccellente, curato nei minimi dettagli: il personale ci ha accompagnato dall’inizio alla fine del percorso degustativo, soddisfando le nostre curiosità con tante spiegazioni. Prezzi in linea con altri ristoranti stellati.

Tutto perfetto, accoglienza, servizio, location, personale . I piatti sono una vera esaltazione del gusto, una poesia dal Benvenuto dello chef al dessert. Pietanze preparate ottimamente con cura e attenzione dallo chef Nicola Somma. Complimenti a tutto lo staff!
