"The Meredith Inn is like a big old comfortable chair you can sink into and relax. From the moment we started the booking process Janet Carpenter, the owner, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious, clean and with plenty of storage. The housekeeping for quests is impeccable. While the house retains old style Victorian charm with eclectic furnishings (some pieces ie. clocks made by Janet's grandfather) and old family photos, the plumbing is new world efficient. The showers (rooms 1 and 4 have showers, no tubs) are strong and very hot. At the time of our stay rooms 1 and 4 did not have wifi but Janet was working to rectify that. Wifi is available in the common room. In the common room coffee, tea and hot chocolate are always available as Janet explains when greeting the guests. Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 9:30 in the dining room and also in the common room depending on the number of guests. Janet is a wonderful cook and the breakfasts are delicious alternating one day eggs the next a sweeter choice (pancakes, french toast etc.) Orange, grapefruit, and cranberry juices are offered, and some variety of fresh fruit and yogurt are always on the table. Eggs are prepared how the guest would like. I can vouch the omelettes are wonderful with a variety of fillings available. There is ample parking at the back of the house, and the inn is ideally located only a five minute walk from town. It's a nice town to wander around with a small park on the lake front and also, at least at the time of our stay, a sculpture tour that takes a walker through the town. Meredith itself is very well situated for trips to the White Mountains, Cog Railway, Kancamagus Highway, Lake Winnipesaukee cruise on the Mount Washington as well as driving around the lake with stops along the way. It was a lovely four night stay."

"Kevin & Karen hat ein Bruderschafts-Wochenend in ihrem Innenhof gehostet. Mein Mann, der mit ihnen ins College ging und uns mit offenen Armen begrüßte, fühlte mich wie eine Familie. Wir kamen am Freitag dorthin und wir hatten buchstäblich den Platz für uns. Kevin gab uns die historische Tour des Innenhofs und zeigte uns um. Das Feuer war krachend und die Atmosphäre war warm und gemütlich. Er zeigte uns in unser Zimmer, das so charmant und sehr bequem war. Das Wochenende war eine Zeit, um Geschichten ihrer Vergangenheit wiederzuverbinden und zu teilen. Kevin & Karen waren so wunderbare Gastgeber der ganzen Gruppe. Ich hoffe, bald wieder zu besuchen."
