"Wir blieben hier am letzten Wochenende im Oktober 2022. Der Herr, der sich anmeldet, war sehr angenehm und untergebracht. Er hatte gerade das Eigentum gekauft und es 7 Tage vor unserem Besuch übernommen. Wir hatten ein Studiozimmer reserviert, aber der Herr sagte, er habe uns in einem regulären Zimmer gestellt, weil er das Gefühl hatte, dass das Studiozimmer nicht in irgendeiner Lage zu mieten war. Unser Zimmer, #102, hatte ein Königsbett, einen Tisch, zwei Nachtstufen, ein Schreibtisch, ein TV, Kaffeemaschine, Eisen, Mikrowelle und ein kleines Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach. Ich muss zugeben, als ich ins Zimmer ging, hatte ich meine Zweifel. Wir haben es für Fehler und Reinigkeit geprüft und alles war ok. Kein Zeichen von Süßigkeiten oder Bettwäsche. Es hatte einen Geruch, aber ich kann nicht sagen, es war schlecht, nur anders. Wir gingen nach Walmart und kauften billige Slips, weil der Teppich wirklich schlecht aussah ... alt und gut mit vielen Farben verwendet. Das Bett war für mich ein wenig fest, aber ich schlief gut. Insgesamt waren wir komfortabel und gut geruht. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war nicht groß, aber wir konnten sauber werden. Wir sprachen mit dem neuen Eigentümer, der teilte, dass er viel Potenzial mit dem Eigentum sieht und hofft, es mit der Zeit zu erschließen. Es war gut zu wissen, dass die Zimmer, die völlig unrentabel sind, abgestrichen wurden, bis sie umgerüstet werden können. Zurzeit ist das Eigentum alt und sehr runter, aber nicht zu schlecht ein Ort zu bleiben, wenn Sie nicht viel erwarten. Ich würde hier noch einmal übernachten, wie es ist, aber ich freue mich darauf, zu sehen, was dieser neue Besitzer für diese Immobilie tut."

"Really nice place. As many people have already said, they have a vast knowledge of the town and its history. We had the upstairs suite. It has 2 antique twin beds in the first room. In the master bedroom it has a really beautiful King size bed, an en suite bathroom. I would definitely stay there again."

"If you are thinking of staying here, or ever get the chance to visit, I'd say one thing: Do it. We came over from England and absolutely loved a change from the usual tourist hotspots frequented by the Brits! There were three simple reasons for this: the hosts, the accommodation and the location. Scott and Ashley literally (and I use this word correctly) couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Their knowledge of the area enabled us to enjoy the stunning scenery (the views from the mountains are incredible and are only a short drive away). From there, you can enjoy hikes of varying difficulties (take water!) or, if you're feeling more adventurous, access the seemingly never-ending trails on a mountain bike or ATV. The town of Mena is relatively small (in American terms), but it has everything you need. We ate at The Ouachitas (pizza) and La Villa (Mexican) restaurants. They were both excellent: reasonably priced, superb service and great food. We stayed in Rider's Den - a small cabin in the manicured grounds of The Carriage House Inn. The bed was massive and comfy and the room was immaculately clean. We only stayed for two nights, which is the only negative aspect of our visit, and feel we merely scratched the surface of the area. What a place, what an experience!"
