Pleasant Stay at Baba Hotel Malacca (Level 2 Room) This wasn’t my first time staying at Baba Hotel Malacca, and overall, it was another pleasant experience. We were assigned a room on Level 2. The room size was decent for two people, with a comfortable bed that provided a good night’s rest. There was no weird smell in the room, and the towels were fresh and pleasantly fragrant, which I really appreciated. The bathroom had strong water pressure and no drainage issues, which is often overlooked but makes a difference. However, the basin water flow was a bit slow, and I feel the bathroom could benefit from a proper ventilation fan. Also, cleanliness between the tiles could be improved for a better overall feel. One noticeable improvement during this visit was the internet speed, which was better than before—perhaps due to a different room location within the hotel. That said, noise insulation could still be improved, as sounds from the corridor or neighboring rooms were occasionally audible. A special mention to the FOM/DM, who was very friendly and attentive—really made us feel welcome. The same goes for the other staff members, who were equally warm and helpful throughout our stay. All in all, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Malacca, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

We came as a group of 4 and absolutely loved our stay at Baba House Melaka! The beautifully preserved Peranakan architecture, rich with character and history, made the experience truly unique. The rooms were clean, cosy, and tastefully decorated, blending traditional charm with modern comfort. The location is perfect—just a short walk to Jonker Street filled with all aesthetic cafes and touristy stuff. The staff were warm and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic heritage experience in Melaka! Exceeded my expectations for sure.

Stayed here for 2 nights from Monday to Wednesday and we won't be staying here again. Parking space was extremely limited. The ratio to the rooms were completely off. Less than 20 lots available in a hotel with so many rooms and we had to park in the streets. Noise insulation was extremely poor. We could hear the big groups talking loudly as they took photos at the photo wall. Staffs doing maintenance work in the morning were talking loudly in the morning outside our room, banging doors and slamming things. Other noise include dragging the chairs, foot steps in the room above ours, motorbikes at night and in the early morning. The room was also dusty and there was a layer of dust on the TV screen and on surfaces. Towels were old, grey in colour from years of using and should have been changed. Toiletries like body wash, shampoo and conditioner was only enough for one person that we ended up buying our own. It is a beautiful hotel but at $170 a night with breakfast, I'll choose to stay at Liu Men which is much better in value, quieter and has ample parking space.

We enjoyed a 4D3N stay at Baba House—beautifully restored with Peranakan charm and conveniently located near Jonker Street. The room was clean and comfortable, though the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times. Staff were friendly and thoughtful; we appreciated the complimentary drinks and biscuits while resting in the lobby. The nightly movie screening was a nice touch too. A great choice for those who enjoy heritage vibes with modern comfort. Would consider staying again!
