Poor checkin, bad atmosphere and terrible experience. Checkin process was slow with long queues. We were checked into the wrong type of room. The lifts are slow and can take up to 20 minutes coming down 4 floors. Once we arrived in the wrong type of room we were not happy and advised the reception to change our room. They informed us that the hotel was fully booked and that wasn’t possible. Then we wanted to cancel our reservation and go elsewhere, we spoke to the receptionist whom advised us to contact our booking agent. The booking company was helpful and tried to contact the hotel who initially did not respond to them. Then we spoke to a manager whom then contacted the booking company. Unfortunately, they did not allow us to cancel the booking. This is a 2-3 star property, impossible for it to be close to 5*. Why would you refer a client to the booking company and then not allow the cancellation? Rather than wasting time just tell the guests that you can’t cancel. We offered to pay for the first night and then refund the remaining, nor was this accepted. Overall I would recommend that you don’t book this hotel.
