"With friends stayed here for two days. Rooms are somewhat unbullful and could be dressed a little more nicely. The mobile air-conditioning is not ideal with warm again. In the bathroom, a cappuccino was best allowed to be on the wall. No lift. In short, a little old hotel. Breakfast is fine and even dinner was fine. The service was friendly."

"The welcome was amazing and the room was as stated. The food was great and the bar had various beers to try. The area was very peaceful and even though fully booked, you really didn’t here any noise from other rooms. It’s a perfect location for exploring Belgium or Holland. I have been going to this great hotel when I was a child and will always continue going forward. The staff were accommodating with requests and were professional throughout my visit. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Wir waren mit einer 60-köpfigen, gemischten Lions-Club-Reisegruppe aus Frankreich und Deutschland 3 Tage im Kasteel Bloemendal. Bereits bei der Ankunft waren alle Lions bezaubert von dem schönen Gebäude und seinem schmiedeeisernen Entree. Hinein ins Gebäude zur Zimmerverteilung. Es ging sehr zügig und stets freundlich voran, an der Rezeption. Das Personal war zugewandt-freundlich und hatte immer ein nettes Wort für die Gäste übrig. Am Abend des ersten Tages hatten wir einen geplanten Sektempfang und anschließend ein gemeinsames Abendessen im Refektorium. Der Service war ausgezeichnet und das Essen von bester Qualität. Es ist mir ein wirkliches Geheimnis, wie die Küche 60 Steaks à la Minute mit gleichem, perfekten Garpunkt, saftig, rosa und weich, auf die Tische bringen konnte. Das war Spitzenleistung! Frühstück war exquisit, alles da, alles frisch, tolles Brot, Brötchen in hell oder grau, Croissants, fluffiges Rührei, Würstchen, krosser Speck, Lachs, Säfte, Sekt, nichts fehlte, alle Wünsche waren abgedeckt. Am Abend ein 5 Gänge Gala-Menü und erneut eine Superleistung der Küche und der ausgezeichneten Servicecrew. Die Tische waren festlich eingedeckt, unsere vorbereiteten Tischkarten und Speisekarten waren auf den 8 Tischen akkurat nach unserer Tischordnung gesetzt und vor dem Eingang zum Refektorum war die Sitzordnung für alle Gäste auf einer Staffelei ausgestellt, so dass niemand seinen Platz suchen musste. Die Küche schickte alles auf den Punkt zubereitet und genau so wurde auch serviert - toll! Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und geräumig, das Housekeeping macht einen klasse Job, alles war blitzsauber und picobello. alle Gäste - besonders auch die französischen Freunde - waren einfach nur begeistert von diesem schönen Haus mit diesen tollen Mitarbeitern. Viele sagten, dass sie mit Familie und Freunden zurückkommen werden und die nähere Umgebung erkunden wollen. Natürlich auch die Stadt Aachen, deren Innenstadt in kürzester Zeit erreichbar ist. Kasteel Bloemendal, Management, Rezeption, Housekeeping, Servicecrew, Chef de Cuisine und Brigade de Cuisine - ein Riesen Kompliment und danke für diese Superleistung - Chapeau!"

"Previously dined at Vijlerhof to my complete satisfaction. Returned home extremely satisfied back then. Looking forward to a return visit. Satisfied again? Absolutely! Reason: once again a table at the back of the restaurant with a view of the South Limburg landscape in the light of the setting sun. Young staff extremely friendly and courteous despite the busyness. Excellent dishes on the plate. Both starters and desserts. The ambiance is excellent, easily accessible, and there is ample parking. Conclusion: Great food in Vijlen. Worth repeating!"

"I booked this hotel for my sister and partner for two nights. They were repeatedly asked if they would stay for dinner, even though they were supposed to be eating with us and other family members. The staff's attitude made them feel uneasy. My wife and I visited them on the first evening and sat down on the terrace while waiting for my sister and partner. We wanted to order two cups of coffee, but were told that wasn't allowed because we weren't hotel guests. When my sister and partner arrived, I wanted to order a glass of water because my sister had a bad cough, but was told that wasn't allowed and asked if I could order sparkling blue or red. On the t**** evening, after waiting a long time for a staff member, we were told that coffee or tea couldn't be ordered anymore because it was too much work."
