Hotel Hopps

Dirty pillows marks abd stains, flat couldn’t be used so went and bought new pillows for our stay! I alerted the staff. No warning on find werger peanuts were in thd good one of our party is highly allergic to peanuts so we were very careful but food choices were restricted. We did ask the staff to check with chef but hardly any English spoken! No access to English TV . Very limited food choices rubbery eggs, bacon dripping with fat ! Dinner various choices as long as you eat meat you’re fine if you’re a vegetarian only one dish pasta and tomato if a vegan - no food available. No catering for gluten free if any signs on foods did not state gluten free, vegetarians, vegan if nut free! Plenty of coffee and tea as long as u can have cows milks special request for soya milk is necessary. If outside by the pool bar then pay for soya ( not in cash a card is needed from reception to buy soya milk) Be careful of the water huge signs in rooms not to drink the water as it’s not safe. Not sure about ice cubes as the u e could be made from local water abd salads will be washed in local water ( we had tummy issues while there and on returning) The pizza was amazing good selection fire based oven luckily we could choose toppings so had pizza a lot. The hotel is far away abd needs a taxi ti get to other places to eat abd thd shopping area The beach is lovely but not across from the hotel it’s at the back of a beach restaurant ti gain access we stopped off to eat which was the best meal we had during or stay as it wasn’t at the hotel! There are pics attached Generally good for those with mobility issues, wheelchair and mobility grand friendly lots of ramps and flat flooring, wuth super disabled toilets The male reception staff are rude with and aggressive way, clear dyskinesia of English tourists especially the grey haired if elderly variety! I did mention the issue to the managers The ladies at reception are very helpful friendly A late check-out will cost €50 to extend to 3 o’clock and can’t be later than that Overall a cheap place to stay good pool and bar but the rest travel food etc will all cost extra Not the star rating stated it’s more like a 2-3 star by English standards not worth the money paid nor the extra costs

This hotel was lovely at first glance Gorgeous foyer area. Room was small and very basic although spotlessly clean. The food choices in restaurant were very poor for a 4 star. We had booked bed and dinner but after first day ate out. The town is beautiful with lots of bars and restaurants really old and lovely.

Well let’s just say a 10 day holiday and after 2 days booked a flight to come home . Stayed a total 4 days and glad I left. Food extremely disappointing House keeping turned up 5pm each day , room was cleaned once . Beds haha well felt like I was in a hostel.Pillows are rough. Towels make sure you bring your own as there is none for by the pool and you can’t use room ones . I was half board , so breakfast and dinner and drinks were included at that time . Soft drink and coffee dispensers and beer, red & white wine on tap. Apart from that as half board your forced to buy a card with a €10 deposit then preload money . You can’t pay for a drink with cash- Bought all my drinks from outside hotel ( far cheaper too ) Ask for water when I arrived at hotel after 7hrs of travelling and was told NO …. Need to get the preloaded card …. At this point I decided this place was not going to see a penny of my money . Service for me none existent In all honesty I did everything I could not to be in the hotel and spent most of my time walking and eating out- which in comparison was a million times better . Would I go back …. Not in this lifetime

Mazara is a typical Italian village with a great vibe and atmosphere. You can take a love walk in the old town or visit some shops and restaurants. Mucho Gusto is not to be missed for a delicious Icecream! Some lovely local wine and cocktail bars and in the weekend the boulevard is buzzing. Love Mazara Hopps always delivers. Third time that we went and is always a pleasure to come to the family hotel where friendliness is key. From the moment you arrive at the reception, being welcomed with a smile and impeccable service. Very clean environment and any request within the acceptable is met. Good variety in food on a daily basis and price quality this is the best for me. Weekend can be pretty busy with local families coming in but then again it gives a nice increase in general vibe. A couple of general remarks for the owners: - the entertainment this year was poor to say the least. Only focused on Italian guests and the entertainment staff where loud and rude. Apart from the daily singer who is always friendly and is a daily relax moment before dinner. - a lot of food is being wasted by large groups and families which is sometimes a sight for sore eyes and I really think that they need to be addressed. Its all you can eat and not all you can leave behind!

There is little choice in the food, there is mold in the bathroom and the air con is also very dirty! But the staff does their best! The beach does not match the pictures on the corendon website! I do not recommend this hotel!

Hotel was great value, the pool was family friendly and the staff went above and beyond to communicate as much as possible even using Google translate to speak to my children. The room was clean and comfortable and the air con was amazing! The food was good value, restaurant pizza was 10/10. I have read previous reviews about limited transport which is true you can’t get around as much unless you book private excursions but we found we had enough around us to keep us occupied for the week we were there. The small town was a 10 min walk and was beautiful, clean and had some amazing restaurants, although you can’t access any food or shops between 1-5 (understandable!) The hotel also has a ‘beach/pool bar’ over the road where you get discounts on drinks and food and can use the lovely pool whilst looking at the sea. When Friday arrived there was a large intake of Italian guests that were on their ‘weekend away’ which did make the pool very crowded as they came in big families. This didn’t affect our stay it just meant the hotel was a little busier. I highly recommend this holiday and ot has deffo made me want to visit more of Italy.

First time to Sicily and this experience has totally put me off visiting again, which is a shame. Hotel is close to train station, but without a car you are limited to where you can go as public transport very limited and long to get to other larger towns. Surprised love holidays advertises this hotel due to location . The all inclusive isn’t really worth the extra money unless you drink beer, wine, gin or rum. No other alcoholic drinks provided unless at a cost to yourself also don’t have ice in your drinks, Breakfast and dinner very limited on choice. Staff/locals not very friendly to tourists or this maybe because of this not being a tourist location.

overall good value we were all inclusive and the positives are the in-house pizza restaurant very good pizza burgers hotdogs also a full-on restaurant but a little limited especially on deserts although really top-quality ice cream with meals,so the food in general was pretty good, and above what was expected from previous reports and Perroni beer was great. The hotel is clean and well organized, family room was pretty good although ask for extra pillows and hangers,the lovely town is a ten min walk Negatives very limited spirits in fact only 3 limoncello/gin/rum gym is not in use. never offered a cannoli which is a great shame and the coffee is from a machine and an insult to Italy The beach across the road is very poor but there is a good beach ten min drive away Sicily is very rough around the edges so litter and the like is to be expected overall it is very good value for what we paid so I'm giving it a 7.5 out of 10 generally, i can recommend this hotel
