"Stayed for one night as we were attending a surprise party locally. The price for an overnight stay is not the most competive we have found but the breakfast being included is a nice extra. Although we didn’t have a great deal of time there, we have eaten and drunk there before with absolutley no complaints. The room we had was a bit of a walk from the recption and was overall adequate but looked a ‘little tired’. The shower was very hit and miss on temperature and power. However, for an overnight stay the room as a whole was clean and acceptable. The breakfast that was included in the price of the room was a buffet with enough choice available. One aspect we didn’t understand was when you see the staff to check in at the counter, they ask if we wanted Tea or Coffee then allowed us to sit where we wanted, only to forget to bring the drinks! We weren’t alone in this happening, maybe just wait till people are seated before asking? The staff were very friendly and accommodating as usual and we would almost certainly revisit if the need arose."

"We ate at the front bar 2/7/26 - 4 adults. We had all ordered from the starter menu as not overly hungry: 2 x chicken wings. Had been deep fried and was only average 1 x seafood chowder. Lacked seasoning and flavour. Bread that came with it was a stale end crust piece 1 x bbq salmon. This was a lettuce leaf with 3 prawns in mayo with a salmon mousse log on the side. It lacked flavour and was not as described Waitress was very friendly. I would not recommend eating here"
