Brigands Inn

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, we stayed overnight on our way to Anglesey, everything is spotless and the staff are so friendly, our room did not have a walk in shower it was a shower over the bath and being an older couple we were a bit nervous about slipping, we decided to book for the night a week later on our way home from Anglesey, Sue the owner gave us a room with a walk in shower this time and the room is amazing, it’s very large with a sofa and chairs and a king size bed, the bathroom is beautiful with a slipper bath and walk in shower, I recommend room 8, dogs are made very welcome by all the staff and are allowed in the dining room with you, we would like to thank Sue and all her staff for everything, she has a great team.

Lovely getaway for a break and change of scenery. Room was delightful and well equipped. We booked dinner on arrival and although it was very nice, I found the portion size to be small and therefore the main course to be overpriced. The treacle pudding was to die for and I would definitely recommend! Breakfast was amazing. I love fruit for breakfast but hotels often disappoint with the quality. The quality of everything was perfect. The staff throughout were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Superb place to stay for the Shooting Estate next door - Food excellent - Owners so polite and great advice and all staff so kind and everything done for you - nothing too much trouble at all - Would we recommend - oh yes 100 per cent - would we stay again - oh yes 100 percent - will we go back - most definitely - the breakfast was amazing and so quickly done and we loved it - thank you so much for the lovely weekend

We had dinner here recently and it was great! Friendly, helpful staff and the food was delicious. It's also really cosy and warm on a cold and wet January evening! We will definitely return if we are ever in the area again.

Our first impressions of the Brigands Inn were good as we drove into the ample car park and took in the view of the surrounding hills. Check in was nice and painless as we entered through the rear door and immediately received a friendly greeting from the desk located there. The Inn is a lovely, old, seemingly never ending series of period, classy rooms and walkways. We really did feel like we'd gone back in time. We were given room 4, which was nicely decorated with exposed wooden beams and was a good size. There were plenty of plug sockets, a really helpful multi-USB plug adaptor and a gun safe, a first for us! The bed was large and comfy. The bathroom as adequate, but could do with a slight update, the shower, however was warm and powerful. We enjoyed a couple of good nights sleep here, even with the window open, there was little noise. We ate several times at the Inn, breakfast and dinner. All dishes were excellent. The standout for me was the Harissa & Lime Prawn cocktail, a really tasty and new take on a classic starter. Breakfast is served from 8:00AM, which allowed us an early enough start to head to the Mach Loop. Service at the bar was always quick and friendly, I made full use of their stock of Butty Bach beer, highly recommended ale ! I can't imagine you can do much better than the Brigands if staying in the area. We will return !

I was on my way from north to south Wales and really needed to pop to the toilet. I have Crohn’s disease and often need to find a toilet quick smart. The ladies inside were lovely as I wasn’t a customer but they had no problems with me using their toilet. Often places refuse and even if I get my ‘can’t wait card ‘ out they still refuse unless you are purchasing. Very friendly, very helpful and helped me avoid any unwanted issues. Thank you ladies so much xx

What a great lunch today at the Brigians Inn !!! Warm welcome, log fire , great food and real ale !!! What more can you want !! Sue and her team made us very welcome and the service was fantastic. A further booking is on the way. We have eaten here many times and the food is always delicious.

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights at this cozy and welcoming Inn! The Inn is nestled in the gorgeous verdant green Welsh countryside . We explored the area and walked up to Bron Yr Aur . The Autumn colors were just exquisite and the tiny country roads with hedgerows and sheep everywhere were full of character and color. The rooms at the Inn are very well kept, clean, nicely designed and the bed very comfortable. The food is amazing , we enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners….Smoked Salmon and Haddock, tender meats, delicious homemade soups and bread, Roasted chicken and Lamb … with roasted potatoes and seasonal veggies, everything was so good! The staff was so kind and accommodating . We enjoyed our chat with Kevin the owner , he is a great storyteller and was happy to help us plan our day and give us information about the area. There is several public sitting rooms in the inn that you can relax in and read or watch TV. We were so happy to find this gem and highly recommend it as the finest place to stay in the area, It is the perfect base!

What an amazing place. We stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was very well equipped. The staff are so friendly and helpful and it didn’t feel as if you were staying in a hotel, more like family. The food was delicious and good sized meals at really good prices. Will definitely stay again and next time we pass will stop for a meal.
