"I stayed at The Byke Heritage, Matheran from 27th May to 28th May and was extremely disappointed with the way key amenities were represented to guests. The resort promotes and sells its property highlighting 3 swimming pools as a major attraction. However, after reaching the resort, guests were informed that only 1 pool was operational. Even that pool was only partially filled with water and was not in a condition that matched what was advertised. The rain dance facility, another attraction promoted by the resort, was also unavailable during our stay. None of this was clearly communicated before booking. Many guests were upset and raised complaints with the management. I personally witnessed multiple complaints and have video evidence showing the condition of the pool area and the dissatisfaction among guests. What was most disappointing was the lack of transparency. Guests paid expecting access to the facilities advertised by the resort but were informed of these limitations only after arrival. Despite raising our concerns with the management, no refund, compensation, or satisfactory resolution was offered. While the food, breakfast buffet, and evening entertainment (singing by Gauri followed by Disco) were enjoyable, the experience was overshadowed by the unavailability of key amenities that influenced our booking decision. I hope the management improves transparency and informs guests in advance whenever major facilities are not operational, so families can make informed choices before booking."

"Kumar Plaza ist das beste Resort jemals in ganz Matheran. Es ist zentral in der Nähe des Marktes und andere wichtige Punkte in der Nähe zu besuchen. Herr Dinesh Wadhwani, Eigentümer eines großen Gastgebers und eines sehr ödmlichen Mannes. Das Essen im Restaurant ist eines der besten, die ich jemals hatte. Die Buffet-Optionen für Frühstück, Mittagessen und Abendessen sind aufgeschlagen und jeden Tag gibt es verschiedene Menüs. Das ist der Ort, an dem ich in meinem Leben mindestens 10 Mal hier gewesen bin. Das Personal ist wirklich höflich, hilfreich und sehr freundlich und kooperativ. Es gibt verschiedene Aktivitäten, die passieren wie Karoeke-Song, DJ, Magie- und Feuershow, Hausie, Spiele usw., die die Gäste niemals während ihres Aufenthalts langweilen. Würde wirklich empfehlen, alle zu kommen und Kumar Plaza einmal besuchen."

"I stayed in Juie pavillion room last week with my family. This room has an open balcony where open parts are covered with a thin but strong net to keep monkeys at bay. It was a completely rejuvenating experience to sit in the balcony and observing the going-Ons in the forest that you see Infront of you. Birds chirping and cawing, monkeys running from here to there and doing the comical acrobatics. The monkeys do not come near you unless you have some food item or drink in your hand. So, in that way monkeys are harmless. So, when you look ahead you see the forest while if you look to the left, at some distance there are living quarters of the people working at this resort who have quite a few hens and every now and then you hear the hence clucking. This gives you a village-like feel. Thus, at this place it is as if you are staying in a room that is located in the vicinity of forest as well as a village. Wow! You can also sit on the benches just outside your room The space outside your room in-between this room and the forest ahead is quite big. A lot of care-free butterflies and birds you observe make the time stop for you. The building materials, paints used and the furniture here truly blend with the nature. Wifi and telephone range here can be tricky at times which is actually a good thing. Good for a digital detox. Afterall, you come here to blend with the nature, right? And the food? Typical Maharashtrian food, very tasty. The employees of the resort are at your beck and call and do their best to make your stay pleasant. If you come here for 1 day overnight stay to be one with the nature, then your Matheran trip would be worth the money even if you do not go outside to visit any tourist spots. This resort ensures that they do not accept more bookings than the capacity of the resort. Hence, during peak season also your experience - which is really a tryst with the nature-will not be hampered. As in peak season and on weekends the tourist spots could be slightly crowded, to enjoy the spots it will be great if you come and stay here on a weekday. Hope I get a chance to stay here sometime in the future. I thank the management and their staff for making our stay so rejuvenating."
