Ryad Amiran & Spa

Dies entspricht nicht den Angaben auf TripAdvise – wir waren für 4 Nächte dort, die Bettwäsche wurde nie gewechselt und das Bett wurde kaum aufgeräumt und schon gar nicht gemacht – wir haben zu keinem Zeitpunkt gesehen, dass von einer Bar/Lounge oder einer Snackbar berichtet wurde!! Das Spa verfügt über ein Zimmer 6x4 mit einem Bett und ein Zimmer 2c4 zum Umziehen – überhaupt keine Spa-Einrichtungen – keine Toilettenartikel im Zimmer/auf der Dachterrasse stehen ein paar Sofas mit ziemlich schmutzigen Überwürfen vor dem Schlafzimmer von jemandem!! Hüten Sie sich vor den Treppen, sie sind spiralförmig und haben keinen festen Handlauf, sondern nur ein SEIL, das sehr locker und gefährlich war, also haben Sie leichte Mobilitätsprobleme. Bewirten Sie diesen Ort nicht. Der Mann, der uns begrüßte, war wie ein Lurch-beängstigendes Frühstück, das aus Brot bestand & Rollen - sehr langweilig - es liegt in einer kleinen schmutzigen Gasse, die abends sicherlich sehr gruselig war / ich persönlich würde niemandem empfehlen, in der Medina zu bleiben - selbst unser Reiseleiter hat uns davon abgeraten, anzuhalten und sich irgendetwas anzuschauen & schon gar nicht Augenkontakt mit irgendjemandem herzustellen - tatsächlich hatten wir ein paar schlimme Erfahrungen mit marokkanischen Männern, die uns verfolgten und sagten, wir müssten ihnen Geld geben, sonst hätten wir uns so auf diese Reise gefreut, aber leider fühlten wir uns nicht willkommen entweder von den Hotelbesitzern/-mitarbeitern oder irgendjemandem in der Gegend. Unsere einzige positive Erfahrung war, als wir fit zu Mittag im Restaurant El Fenn (das Richard Brandons Schwester gehörte) gingen. Der Service und das Essen waren sehr gut. Wir machen regelmäßig Städtereisen und sind auch um die Welt gereist Verschiedene Feiertage, aber ich muss sagen, das ist das Schlimmste, was wir je erlebt haben und wir werden nie wiederkommen. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, wie Marrakesch noch besser gemacht werden kann, da wir nur negative Bemerkungen von Leuten bekommen haben, die wir sowohl innerhalb als auch außerhalb der Medina getroffen haben. Falls Sie darüber nachdenken Besuchen Sie uns, bitte denken Sie lange und gründlich darüber nach

Just returned home from a 4 night stay in this cosy and authentic ryad, already wishing we had longer. The family run space was a welcoming peaceful surrounding to find some quiet away from the bustling medina. The rooms are cool and spacious resting spots out the African sun. The rooftop terrace a calm and relaxing area to rest tired feet. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee fantastic. Orange juice refreshing. A home from home atmosphere. We enjoyed our trip and felt safe and welcome here.

On arrival luckily our taxi driver walked us straight to the door otherwise would never have found it! met by a young lad who made us a peppermint tea we then dropped our bags in room and walked around 11th century streets so expect to get lost a few times...people don't bother you but whatever assistance they offer comes at a cost. For most people the old town will be unsettling with scooters flying past and difficult to navigate! Not ideal for people with mobility issues as grounds are very uneven..health and safety not on their radar anytime soon! Changed rooms after second day with no reason why but bed a little bigger so all fine...all rooms dark and need a little TLC specially were the bedding is concerned...Riad is like an echo chamber you hear every conversation and while there some women next morning were told three rooms complained about noise while on the terrace it was around 2am but they were celebrating a birthday and only talking and to be honest were else can you celebrate as nothing around area! So couldn't even imagine if groups of families book the Riad!! You can find some places that sell alcohol but took a good 30mins to walk. Riad says bar but no sign of one and when asked the young lad said there was nothing in...a few hours later though some people told us they got drink so maybe they ran out to get! Spa- pic below of one of their spa rooms took while waiting to return home 😐 Trips through Riad are so expensive..so worth looking round either online or book before you arrive.. Breakfast was a french stick cut into pieces some toasted some fried in butter, a bread bun and madeira cake this was every day! you could ask for boiled eggs my husband asked for an omelette and it was just an omelette nothing in it...we found places outside walls a few times Bar 16 nice place around the plaza but again a good 30mins walk. McDonald's in plaza also:) Staff friendly but management only seem to be there for breakfast hours then it's left down to the kitchen staff and cleaners and a young lad as the night porter so when guests want questions answered nobody speaks english to help.. It's not a hotel and it's not a spa or bar it's a 2-3 star guest house and Marrakesh is not a main stream holiday destination and shouldn't be sold as one with Easyjet.... Would definitely recommend you book a big hotel and travel into the old town for a taste of Marrakesh.....

We had a lovely time staying here, feeling very well looked after and welcomed, by all the lovely friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us! Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and good to sample Marrakech delight. On the first night we stayed in a room but were moved to the upper floor next day where we stayed for the rest of our time! This seemed to happen with everyone, but don’t know the reason why! However the beds were very comfortable and we were well rested. We enjoyed 3 course dinner one night which consisted of triangular samosas, chicken tagine, salad and sliced orange with cinnamon all very delicious and tasty. We would love to come back and would highly recommend as we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

We had a lovely stay. The Riad is just inside the Medina on a quiet street. Our transport from the airport dropped us at the edge of the Medina but a member of staff came to show us the way to the Riad. All the staff were wonderful and made sure we had all the information we needed. We booked a day trip through the Riad which took us around many of the gardens and other highlights. We had our own driver and they took us to the Oasiria Waterpark at the end of the tour, where we spent a few hours relaxing by one of the pools. The Riad arranged transport to take us back to the Riad. We also enjoyed the cooking lesson on offer. And the hamman spa on our final morning, along with a full body massage. The Riad is about a 10/15 min walk from the souk, we felt safe walking back at 9/10pm at night. Google maps were our friend! Worth paying for roaming to have this. I would definitely recommend this riad. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Grateful for the aircon. All in all a wonderful few days in this incredible city.

We spent 3 wonderful days at this charming and authentic Riad close to the Medina in Marrakech. It was an oasis of tranquility set amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. The room was comfortable and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed breakfast during our stay which was very good. The fresh breads were excellent. I have to say the mint tea at the Ryad Amiran was the best we had anywhere in the city. I would certainly stay here on my next visit to Marrakech.
