Riad Dar One

If you're making a decision on which hotel to choose from in Marrakech, then look no further than Riad Dar One. Set in the heart of the Madina, and a minutes walk from the Bahia Palace, Dar One offers a stylish and relaxing setting away from the hussle and bustle of the marketplace. Some of the standout features of this hotel: - Utterly delicious meals from the very talented chef - The comfiest bed I have ever slept on in a hotel! - Air-conditioned rooms - A wonderful shower room - Rooftop - Fast Internet - Excellent standards of cleanliness, and rooms freshened daily - Quiet at night - A comfortable dining and lounge space However, the most stand-out part of my experience was staff member Abdul Hakim. From the pre-arrival check-ins, supporting me with taxis, a plentiful supply of refreshments, and recommendations about locality attractions. Nothing was too much trouble, and I felt like a member of the family. Thanks to Abdul-Hakim and the whole team for a memorable stay. I hope to return again one day!

Charming boutique dar hotel in the old jewish quarter. A little dicey arriving at 1AM walking through some admittedly sketchy alleys with the hotel’s porter, but once we arrived was perfectly cozy and comfortable. Hakeem was a lovely host and took care of us upon our late arrival. He was there again in the morning to make breakfast which was perfect. We stayed 2 nights in room on top floor terrace- very private and super quiet. We really liked it and would recommend.

The manager was first rate and extremely helpful whilst staying in Marrakech. His recommendation for the restaurant we tried was brilliant as was his suggestions on what to see. The accommodation was very comfortable and would highly recommend.

The Riad is beautifully furnished and it smells divine. Lovely roof terrace in the sun, good for chilling out. We had the deepest bath my husband has ever seen. Hakim and Abdelhak were fantastic, helping with all enquiries. Location is good, close to everything really. Food at the Riad was very tasty and lot of it.

Very warm welcome to this lovely Riad - great location and comfortable quiet night. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends. Lots of help including sorting a lovely local Lebanese restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was great too.

This is easily the most unique property I have visited. It is a Mr. and Mrs. Smith property - part of the Hyatt portfolio. I cannot start this review without acknowledging Abdelhak and Hakim. They are incredible hosts, friendly, patient and so helpful! I had great email correspondence with this Abdelhak before arriving. Any questions I asked where promptly answered. In addition, the emails were informative on what to expect. I arranged for an airport transfer ( I would recommend this!!!) and I was met by Hakim at the car stop. I'm not sure I would have found the riad the first time on my own. There are many turns and alleys for all riads - and it was a help to have someone show me the way. The riad courtyard is definitely a photo opportunity. I was met with the customary cookies and Moroccan welcome mint tea. I was shown to my room - on the terrace of this 6 room riad. All riads have a very "local" feel. It was nice to get away from a chain hotel and feel part of the culture. The room was very basic and I would say extremely clean. Towels and bed linens were a good quality and the bed was very comfortable. My only two surprises were no in-room safe and no TV (although I understand other raids did not have a wide variety of channels in English.) The room had a heated floor in the toilet area - which was a nice feature. The room was a concrete-style floor with an area rug. Hint - bring slippers. It was also a bit dark and could have used more light. The room had wood shutters to cover the glass and a cool curtain that covered the wood entry door to keep drafts away. Breakfast was included with the room and kindly served in the courtyard each morning. It consisted primarily of breads and condiments - basically a continental breakfast. It also included tea or coffee, along with the best fresh-squeezed orange juice I have ever had. The only time I ever saw other guests were at breakfast. Everyone whispered during breakfast and I never heard doors slamming or loud guests - this is an adult only property. I enjoyed my stay here!
